The Americinn in Baxter, Minnesota is a good, comfortable accomodation. I thought the price was a bit high, but it is probably not out of line for what is essentially a resort area. The things I look for in a room are cleanliness and comfort. This room met both standards.

This hotel was not my first choice, but will be from now on ! We booked at the last minute, all other hotels were full and all that was available was a smoking room. Much to our surprise, the room was huge and there was not a hint of smoke in the room. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet was the best I've seen in a long time.We travel to this area several times through out the year and will now check here for availablity first.This place was a very pleasant surprise!!

Our room was larger than most rooms and very comfortable. We even had a numbers bed. Nice continental breakfest. Nice places to eat near by.
