From check-in to check-out, the Amelia Island Plantation Resort was a fantastic experience for a "girls weekend" away.

The hotel was clean, beautiful, romantic, relaxing, inviting. Appeals to all ages. There really is not enough parking in their self serve parking lot. We enjoyed our stay at Amelia Island Plantation. The hotel grounds were lovely, the room was warm and inviting, and, of course, the view was outstanding. The pool area was beautiful, clean and it was so nice to just relax and watch families play with the kids in the pool. The final touch was the full moon shining over the ocean and the cruise ship and shrimps off in the distance. Of course, even the dolphins cooperated on our morning walk and were out playing in the water! Couldn't have asked for a better, relaxing day!

My wife and 7 year old daughter just returned from several days at Amelia Island Plantation. It was a very nice experience with great beaches and hotel facilities, nice Spa, first class gym and good restaurants. Amelia Island Plantation is an attractive blend of Southern Hospitality (friendly staff, Sweet Tea, Fried Green Tomatoes) and upscale beaches and facilities and four golf courses on 1350 acres. You can rent bikes, golf carts or even take a Segway tour.A great place to take the family!

We spent the 4th of July weekend here and were pleasantly surprised with all of the activities they had going on. They really did go all out with the events to get everyone involved. The pool, and the beach were beautiful. We stayed in our room to order room service to watch the fire work show from our private balcony and were impressed with our meals. Our only complaint would be the tub area. Was old and had mildew every where. Asked housekeeping to take care of it but it didn't seem to help. For the price they are asking, one would expect more from there.

this hotel is within a plantation. it was a bit confusing trying to find where we were going with all the roundabouts and one way streets. but the staff was super friendly and very helpful...going out of their way in many cases. we stayed at the main inn and had a very nice view of the ocean. at night you could hear the waves and it helped ease me right into sleep. the food was very expensive. but the bellman recommended a cute little family friendly restaurant about 2 miles away called baxters...good food, good service. all in all i would reccommend this hotel if youre looking for a quaint getaway.

The bedding (sheets, comfy., pillows) were excellent quality. Too many kids there. This hotel was very nice, however the restaurant prices wereway toohigh for the quality of food. The hotel for breakfast in the hotel was outrages for the listed food. Luckily we had a car so we drove to a local cafe that was outstanding. We only ate one meal on the grounds, the rest we went off the grounds to eat - much better food and prices. Also parking was a problem the closer to the weekend. You could pay $14.00 a day to park by valet and that seemed a tad high. Parking should be included.

We went for a weekend get away. We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of activities. We will return.

A great get away destination. No need to leave the""plantation"". For us only 2hrs. from home (Savannah), makes for a great escape to the beach which is gorgeous. The staff is well trained and very helpful. Looking forward to going back and playing the 72 holes of golf.

The stay at Amelia Island Plantation was a great experience. The staff was very helpful and prompt, restaurants on the property were excellent and varied as far as cost was concerned and types of food. Transportation was also a plus once we arrived we did not have to drive anywhere they have great shuttles at anytime, no waiting for half hour times, as soon as you were ready to go the shuttle was there within minutes. The spa was wonderful, I would receommend booking your appointments in advance of your arrival to assure as session at the spa. Very pleased and would stay again.

We stayed at the Ship Watch Condo. It was OK but not a 4 star room. My friends stayed at the hotel and it was very nice. We would go back but we would stay at the hotel.

I've stayed at the Plantation over 10 times through the years - both with family and with groups of girlfriends, and it remains one of my very favorite destinations. In part, it's a great place to relax - the beach goes on endlessly with gorgeous white sand; the spa is excellent; and there are beautiful pools all over the property, many of which also overlook the beach, where you can curl up and read poolside for hours while sipping a margarita. But, more than just relaxing, there are great activities - I've rented bikes on many occasions and toured the natural preserves and winding trails; the fitness center is world class; there are countless tennis courts and 3 championship 18 hole golf courses; horseback riding on the beach is great fun, as are some of the available water sports. For families, Amelia Island Plantation is a dream. There are tons of children's activities, including day camp, and the endless bike trails and family fun restaurants make it a perfect place for a family getaway. Amelia Island Plantation is big enough and so beautifully preserved that no matter how full it is with guests, you always feel like you have enormous privacy and a beach and vacation of your own. It's a magical place.

The robes and the oceanview. We couldn't stay longer. Went for new years and never even left the room, it was so beautiful my boyfriend and I hung out in the soft robes and watched the ball drop together.

As with many resorts, there are hevaily marked-up resort fees and this place is no exception. The problem here is that you get dinged heavily for non-premium service. Many facilities or items were not available (bikes, golf carts, exercise equipment). During our visit, the cable and internet also went out. I'll pay a premium if the product warrants it. This doesn't. Beuatiful beach and decent pools. Rooms were nice. But lots of places can say that and didn't charge what these guys do. Better buys available.

Excellent beachfront hotel. Check-in/Check-out Procedures clumsy. Isolated a bit but fairly self-contained, this hotel offers excellent business meeting facilities, a beautiful beach (fairly family-oriented beach), tennis and golf opportunities, a shopping area and several restaurants, a great place to go without having to go anywhere else!
