great value, nice room, good locationI first stayed at this hotel for New Year's Eve 2008/9 as when I booked it was one of the few places still with reasonably priced rooms (and within an easy 10-15 minute walk from the Embankment. It was great value, for London, with a small but impeccably clean room and in a great location. This time my stay was for work, but at £139 through late-rooms was again great value. The rooms are very small, but for one person it's fine and they're very well designed with everything you need - including free WiFi, flat-screen TV, and even a bottle of water, free apples and a complimentary Telegraph newspaper in the morning - and a very comfortable bed. I was on the top floor with a nice view over the London rooftops. I've paid more than this for much shabbier rooms in supposedly 'four star' hotels and I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking to avoid the usual London hotel rip-off.Staff were

the architect who redisigned the hotel is to be congatulated for igenuity in turning a broom cupboard into a room. Although trendy the room size (single room) was out of proportion to cost.

Sort stay in London July 09In London for business and handy hotel for St Pancras / Kings Cross. Clearly been refurbished by professionals and tasteful yet modern in many waysWhole place very clean, and staff helpful. Room was a double but quite small, the hotel had got a double bed in just . The room was well appointed with flat screen tv and usual facilities. Large modern wet room bathroom . No view - looking at side of another extension, but effective air con and overall comfortable and quietHandy for lots of eateries if not using hotel restaurant. Shrot walk to tube.Might consider again, though would prefer larger room - maybe I got one of the smaller rooms on this occasions

The hotel was modern and cpnvenient, although the room was perhaps a bit sterile feeling, and short on the "superior" promised.

Small but functionalVery efficient and clean; covered all the bases. Room was small and expensive (but good value by London standards). Tea/coffee-making facilities was only omission. Complimentary wifi was appreciated.

One of the nicest hotels in London, conveniently located near the main railway stations. Moderna and cool decor, nice, quiet rooms, good, efficient and kind service. I tried to go back but it was always fully booked! I shall try again.

Efficient, friendly serviceThe proximity of the hotel to the train station and the Tube made it very easy for my daughter and I to get around. The service was efficient and friendly. It was very convenient to be able to drop off our luggage when we arrived, and at the end of our stay, leave them in the hotel's keeping so that we could enjoy the rest of our day sightseeing. The free Wi-Fi was a definite bonus, because it allowed us to keep in touch with family.

Good location for stations & sight seeingSmall, but adequate room for two if out most of the day. Wardrobe space very limited, but the room has everything you will required including Air Con, which in Summer heat is essential. Excellent Recepttion/concierge/dining staff. Breakfast was included in our price and this included the continental plus full English if you wanted. Just over the Road from Euston, but only 10 mins from Kings X/St. Pancras - very good for Euston Square & tube. Lots of local restaurants 5 mins walk on Southampton Row. You're only ten minutes from British Museum and another 5 from Covent Garden. No problems with noise in the hotel.

Excellent modern hotelMy teenage daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the Ambassador very much. Its in an excellant location just off Euston Station so the tube and buses are on the doorstep. The food was also perfect, one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The only criticism is that there is no storage space at all. We were on a shopping trip and as you can imagine 2 women staying for two nights and shopping!! We had one small bedside cupboard to share (the safe was in one and the other didint open due to the bed legs being in the way) and the wardrope was 7 or 8 inches deep. There was no room to hang anything up, very disappointing.

Great value hotel, perfect base for exploring and very comfortable crash padVery clean and minimalist. Small room, but ideal if not planning on spending too much time there as very comfortable, quiet and unfussy.Great full English and excellent service.

Room a bit small compared to what we have had for the same price elsewhere but that is to be expected in the centre of a major city.

shame the restaurant was closed on a monday. My room sevice meal was slow but ok.Room was small comsidering it was meant for 2 people but for 1 person it was adequate. The spec was good but I would have liked to have surfed the net for free on the hotel system rather than having to get my laptop out.Breakfast was EXCELLENT.I'd stay there again certainly but would hope I didn't arrive on a Monday in view of the restaurant closure problem.

Good location, clean and smart, poor breakfastIf you want to be near King's Cross Station (and the British Library) this is an excellent location. The room was clean and smart, comfortable bed, good shower though toiletries not too special. Our room was quiet with no street noise. I think breakfast is important when away for a weekend treat - this was poor. Very standard selection of cereals - no fresh fruit salad or dried fruit. Poor selection of meats / cheeses. We had the cooked breakfast the first day - but not the second! Rubbery poached eggs, under-cooked bacon - generaly not pleasant. But the staff were pleasant and the service good. We usualy stay at the nearby Novotel - and that is where we will go back to. But if the Novotel is full (like it was this weekend) we could well return to the Ambassadors (and have kippers for breakfast!)

I've stayed in this hotel several times because of it's convenient location for Euston Station and Russel Square tube. Although the rooms are on the small side, they are well designed, clean and comfortable. The room I stayed in smelled of paint as it has recently been redecorated. I was disappointed that they have downgraded the toiletries in the bathrooms, last time I stayed there the toiletries were from l'occitane. The shower room was wet room style with a great shower. The windows in the rooms open, which is a great bonus. The restaurant in the hotel is brilliant with a reasonable, well priced menu.
