The largest seaside resort in Wales, we also boast Snowdonia National Park, National Trust properties, narrow gauge yailways, historic houses & castles, mountains and lakes on our doorstep. The Ambassador is renowned by many regular returning guests for our comfort, service and friendliness. The Hotel is relaxed and informal, but with a commitment to standards and disciplines, with a belief that all of this has to be affordable. For the business traveller we are able to offer internet access via the bedroom telephone, cash back on account option, multiple billing configuration options including merging of multiple rooms to one bill, multiple item merging on individual bills and express check-out. Mix up at check in and outThe booking was undertaken by daughter and son-in law as part of a 25th wedding anniversay present. Although this was paid for by credit card in advance, the hotel still asked for payment 3 times, on arrival, confirmation over the phone before arrival and leaving. This was extremly embarresing for us and our family. A letter has been written by the Son-in law. No reply has been received from the hotel.

Nice Sea Front Hotel - slightly past its best but the price reflects thisA very well positioned Hotel for access to the sea front and town high street - Orm cable tram.Friendly helpfull staff when i was there and my room looked out along the curve of the sea front so very nice. Reasonably quiet but well placed to get to the Bars and restraunt with a very minimal walk.

Oh dear!Charging extra for credit cards! The room contained an old sandwich wrapper from a previous occupant. The pull switch for the light came off in my hand. The settee was stained and the carpet looked stained. When I was using the toilet I discovered taht there were only three sheets of paper! I had ot use their welcome sheet ....

Good value for money, slow service.Breakfast service very slow, as was the checking out procedure. Value for money was, however, excellent. I would visit Lllandudno again in future however would probably find a different Hotel if possible. Rooms rather dated but this wasn't a major problem. The only MAJOR problem was the lack of any suitable parking once the Hotel car park was full (only very limited spaces).

Ambassador hotel reviewThere was a constant horrible smell throughout the hotel. The room was small and extremely shabby, bedspreads on the bed!! Television didn't work, showerhead dirty more like a residential home than a hotel. Restaurant Manager didn't speak english!! Car park more expensive than on street parking and had to be booked in advance. Would not stay there again or recommend to anyone.

Adequate sea-front hotel, but living very much in the past in terms of decor and fitting out of rooms. Reception very slow. Unbelievably, no breakfast before 08.15 (08.45 Sundays)

Superb for a short break but perhaps would not suit young singles. The hotel was ideal for us. We were given a very warm welcome and check in was done in a flash. The room had everything we could want for a short break. We have stayed at 5* luxury hotels and are accostomed to quality hotels. This one, although not 5*, was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel

The Hotel is a little "tired" with few guests, but was acceptable and I would stay againBe aware of the additional charges: car parking/service levy added/credit card charges. Unable to have bar drinks added to room tab.A family run hotel which seems to have chosen the "budget" end of the market from which to operate. This means good value can be obtained but amenities are not on a par with other similar sized (and more expensive) hotels in town.

good value for money cheap and cheerfulHave stayed here a couple of times now as a base for nights out in Llandudno, now it's only a 3* Hotel, the decor is very 70's/80's but it is very clean and the beds are very comfortable, rooms are quite a decent size and as it's a old building the walls are quite thick so it's relatively quite, you can't here next door! well worth £35 per night inc breakfast. Note though - breakfast finishes 9.15am monday - saturday, we were told 9.45 turned up at 9.15 and got turned away by the not very helpful polish staff.

Deaf AwarenessTelevision did not have subtitles because the remote had been removed because according to reception staff, guests keep taking them home. This meant as a Deaf person I was unable to access the television.Reception staff at night were not interested when I asked about sorting out the TV and had no awareness of their obligation under the Disability Discrimination act to make services accessible and provide same level of service to both Deaf and hearing guests.More worrying was the fact that there was no alarm provision for a Deaf guest, so if there had been a fire, I would not have been alerted to it.Nighttime staff were impossible to lipread and had no deaf awareness at all and no interest in communicating with a Deaf guest. Not really very impressive and would not use the hotel again.

Abassodor was DecentStayed here through late rooms at a very reasonable price. Being on a business allowance was able to have B&B here and a fair meal with a beer around the corner. The Hotel offered 3 course evening meal for £18.00 which actually looked good but would have gone outside my budget.

The room was average having payed £35 i don't think i would have payed a penny more the TV didn't work properly and no remote but the biggest bug in the works NO PARKING having arrived i had to park 2km from the hotel when i asked about parking i was told that i should have booked it at the time i booked the room yet when i pointed out that there was no mention of this on the booking page i was told park on the street which only works if there are spaces to be had all in all it was the first and last time i would stay at this hotel

on arrival we were expecting a large grand hotel, as shown by pictures, how ever this was not the case, it looked old and decrepid. also, when looking at the blurb about this hotel, we were told that the hotel had its own car park, this was not the case, and infact, had it of been a busy night, we would not have found a car parking space around. the rooms were out dated, and felt cheap and old.perhaps update this hotel to the 2000's instead of keeping it back in the 70's!also, breakfast was way, to early, and only lasted an hour, which meant if you arrived late, like we did, you would not make it up in time to have breakfast.

We only stayed at the Ambassador for one night, on what was probably the coldest snowiest weekend of the year. On arriving the hotel was warm and friendly, and reception helpful and efficient. We had pre booked dinner, and the meal was well above hotel standard, and really enjoyable. Our room was a double, quite basic, but clean and warm, lots of hot water, and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was again above standard, well presented and served, by cheerful staff. The bar was pleasant and well stocked, and again the staff were helpful. Should we have reason to need a hotel in Llandudno again for a short stay, we would choose the Ambassador again.

The rooms were very tired and needed a lick of paint. We had no toilet roll or towels so had to ring reception. They brought them straight away but they should have already been there. Also on the second day we had to wait 15 mins for someone to take our breakfast order and then we only got served because i went to get someone. Its just little things but they need sorting.

having booked i then read one or two reviews of the hotel and thought i might find it a bit rudown, this was not the case, the rooms were on the small side, but clean and comfortable, staff very courteous and helpfull, excellent breakfast, excellent position. would certainly stay again and reccomend.

The single room I stayed in was very pleasant with a sea view. The walk in shower was particularly good for the more elderly guest
