Very flexible in allowing us to stay until 3pm with no extra charge. No problem. We arrived very late after flight delays and the staff was welcoming and attentive. The room was very comfortable, and we really appreciated that they allowed us to stay until 3pm when we had to leave to join our cruise. especially enjoyed roti at the beach bar.

Wonderful location on a very nice beach. Not too crowded as beach chairs and spots under the palm trees or in the sun are always available. Rooms are clean and tidy with a quiet air conditioning unit. The staff are super friendly, always with a smile and very helpful. The breakfast is a bit pricey but very good selection of fresh food. The beach bar has a great happy hour special and the water sports equipment are free (except the jet skis). I highly recommend this hotel - a fantastic all around experience. This isnt Sandy Lane but you do get exceptional value and a great stay in lovely Barbados.

My stay was short and sweet; the time spent there was peaceful and relaxing. Staff was okay but still room for improvement in housekeeping department. Good location, close to Bridgetown and the airport. Grounds were kept in great condition with a nice, clean beach. As with most hotels on the island, the food is expensive, so venture outside to eat. Still trying to determine the purpose of security at front gate.

Hotel was better than expected. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Housekeeping was excellent. Bed was done everyday, towels exchanged, and sheet changed twice during our 7 day stay. Food was awesome. Grounds were well maintained. Beach was clean. No problems checking in and out. Great Happy Hour. All in all, great hotel, specially for the price. Would definitely stay again

I went with a number of friends and we had 4 different rooms between us all. Two of these 4 rooms had mold infestations which was evident by the smells upon entering them. Upon thoroughly examining the room, I found mold in the air conditioner, on the ceiling, and around the wall located near the AC. I had complained the 2nd day I was there and was told that they'd get right on it immediately. However, between the continued excuses that the only manager on duty wasn't available to remedy the situation and the front desk's lack of compassion for my situation, I was extremely frustrated. On the 4th day, I was offered a relocation to a garden view room (I paid for an ocean view). I told them that I wanted what I had paid for and they dismissed me and said that I had to continue to wait for the manager...who was still unavailable. Later that afternoon, they moved us to an ocean view room which was free of mold. The customer service at Amaryllis was less than desirable. When there was a problem, I felt very dismissed. While dining at their outdoor restaurant, I had ordered a salad with a side of chicken. Only after eating it, the manager came over and notified me that their salads do not come with chicken and that I'd be charged me for the salad AND a chicken entree. I said that the waitress should've said something before I ate my meal. She continued to argue with me before conceding. However, the woman who ran the activities center was extremely kind and helpful when asked for planning and booking things to do.

Nothing. Room smelled like mildew. Had to change rooms. Next room not much better. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Mostly cheap minded stay here.

This was a Vacation Package with restrictions. This hotel has a great location and the grounds are well maintained. However the rooms were very disappointing. Our first room was dusty and dirty. Fixtures and appliances were in need of maintainence and repair. Mold and Mildew were visible resulting in a very strong odor. Requested a room change and found this problem to be prevalent in other rooms in the main / original building . Viewed several rooms before settling on one in a newer building on the property that had the least odor of mold but still very dusty and not well maintained. Management was accommodating in granting room change but did not seem concerned about the condition of the rooms. My husband and I both started experiencing mild respiratory issues by the end of our stay. Our experience photos will always remind us never to stay there again.

The room was very clean but too moist(need ventilation). Staff was excellent but the telephone rates were ridiculous. One dollar per call (local) is outrageous. Stay was great.
