I got lost finding my room and even the maintenance guy helped me! Finding the room was a tad difficult. Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location.

Having just spent 5 days in Denali National Park, we booked the Hotel Alyeska as a jumping off point for the final leg of our trip in order to explore the areas south of Anchorage (Whittier and Seward). The hotel was extremely luxurious compared to where we had been, but was also the best deal since they offered a 3rd night free. Service, room and staff were excellent. We chose not to eat meals at the hotel, but restaurants nearby in Girdwood were great . Definitely would stay again, but it is a bit of a drive to Seward.

This is a beautiful hotel set in the middle of a quaint Alaska ski town. It has a great hiking trail, and access to tons of outdoor activities. It is only 40 minutes from Anchorage, so you can take a short trip to city sites while still having a relaxing vacation at a ski resort.

Perfect location for skiing and great pool for kids. Beds and linen were not up to par for this level of hotel. Beautiful hotel with wonderful "resort" feel located at alyeska ski resort. Convenience is unbeatable if goal is to spend some time skiing and then relaxing in the hotel afterwards. Our room had a beautiful view of the tram, mountain, and a few of the ski runs. Wonderful! Beds were a bit disappointing - not nearly as comfortable as we would have expected for this price and quality of hotel. Mattresses were "springy" (could hear them squeak when moving around) and sheets felt rough.

We had a wonderful dining experience at 7 Glaciers Restaurant. You can't beat the view and the tram ride to the restaurant adds even more exquisite viewing! Not to mention the food is scrumptious and beautifully presented.

We stayed at the Alyeska our last night in Alaska and it was great to unwind there after a whirlwind trip. We stayed in and ordered room service and a pay-per-view movie that night. The room service menu was reasonable (or at least much more so than the restaurant at the top of the mountain) and the food was pretty decent. When we did step outside the room, we were bombarded by throngs of people from the tour buses which made getting around the resort a bit crowded. The rooms were immaculate although chilly. We had maintenance come up because we thought our heater wasn't working since only cold air was coming out even though our thermostat was set to 75. They said the air is constantly going and heat only comes out in one part of the room. We thought it was kind of odd considering most of the guests were senior citizens but it did eventually warm up after we had him manually shut off the air. Never quite figured out what the deal was though.

We had a wonderful stay at the Alyeska Resort. We were only there for 1 night but would definately go back again and stay longer. The bed was so comfortable!!! We had a wonderful view outside our window and enjoyed our walk along the walking trails. We went during their off season so when we checked in we were given an upgraded room. Everyone in the hotel was very friendly - we had no complaints.

The super-friendly front desk upgraded our room from a double queen to a king when he found out we were there for a romantic getaway. The view was spectacular. Comfy beds, prompt room service and helpful front desk.

hotel is about 35 miles from anchorage in a scenic setting. a beautiful hotel & great rooms.hiking trails just out of the hotel.this is not abig city hotel, small town hotel that is first class. the pool area is a little hard to find. go early to the pool area on weekends as there are many children at the pool as the day goes on. there are adults only times late on the weekends.

As the first place I stayed on my first visit to Alaska, it was a comfortable and beautiful place to begin. The rooms are comfortable, (and include some extras that you find at mountain spa resorts like heated towel racks, robes, and slippers). When I visited on the off-season, the rate was nearly half and was a great value. The food in the hotel restaurants was consistently good, and room service was the same price as in the restaurants. The tram to the Mount Alyeska viewing platform and museum is attached to the hotel; we chose a ticket that included lunch, which was also a good deal.

I can't say enough good things about the resort!!! We were there for just one night and part of the next day and wished we could have stayed longer. From the time we arrived until the time we left the staff was absolutely wonderful. There are breathtaking views from every room. The pool and hot tub along with the sauna were wonderful. We didn't want to get out and go back up to the room. The rooms were very clean and had all the little extra touches. The restruants at the resort were very good and had a variety of choices. We took the tram up to the mountain and was amazed at the beauty of everything!!!! The gardens and decks were incredible and everything was very well manicured. The location is wonderful if you are going on a cruise for the first night stay or to extend your stay alittle longer. We had 8 people in our group and all of us would like to go back and stay at the resort for an extended vacation at some point. Worth every penny! Five stars!!!!! It was as nice as the cruise itself! There is something there for every member of the family.

This is the only 5 star hotel in Alaska. This is a good stop on your way to/from Seward. The grounds are beautiful with some wonderful hiking trails. You must visit the Seven Glaciers Restaurant or at the very least, have a drink at the bar. For a delicious meal away from the hotel, visit the Double Muskey in Girdwood. Absolutely the best food in Alaska and maybe even the entire Northwest!

This hotel has beautiful views, clean rooms, and nice staff. Try the Winner Creek Trail hike behind the hotel which leads to a hand tram that is a lot of fun and unique!
