We had a nice clean room and a very nice continental breakfast.

Excellent value and service. Just a little dated. For the price, I thought this was an excellent experience. The price was the most affordable for the amenities, and I thought I'd give it a try. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Gaylord area. The pool was great for my son as well - the area around the pool was quiet and very clean. Thanks!

The staff was very helpful and welcoming. They made my stay exceptional. The rooms was also a great value.

No problems whatsoever. Friendly and quick check-in and check-out. Only downer was broken hot tub.

Place was relatively clean. Staff were friendly. Halls smelled a bit of "old motel" smell but rooms were clean and well kept. Pool nice for little children except it was freezing cold this year...we stayed here last year and pool temp was fine but outside temp was warmer as well last year. Reasonable price includes a "continental breakfast" which was pretty complete for our family.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the pool and sauna were great. Other than the peeling bathtub, it was a very nice motel and the pool, whirlpool and sauna were great.

Desk staff was excellent. X She's a gem!! She is effieicent, friendly, great attitude towards guests- we were all treated very well and would recommend your hotel to others. The hospitality we were shown is excellent.

Our whole extended family stayed here for a wedding and we were all quite disappointed. Housekeeping apparently forgot to clean the rooms on Saturday. The rooms were not very clean to begin. Our room smelled horribly of mildew or mold. They did not bring our requested baby crib until 10pm after 2 reminder calls!! The complimentary breakfast was basically toast and some hard-boiled eggs. Not worth it at all. The iron had something black caked on it. The bath tub was stained. The water pressure in the shower was barely there. Very run down looking on the outside. I do not recommend this hotel.

this was a fine hotel. nothing great about it, and nothing terrible about it. we just stayed there for a couple of hours a night while we had a family reunion that weekend. so we just used the room to sleep and shower, and it served its purpose well. Although I did not like that to get to the second floor, where we stayed, you have to go outside and up the stairs. also if you stay here, stay on the second floor, because the doors of the first floor room are on the outside of the building.

Staff was very accomodating and considerate. Front desk staff was very busy when I arrived but she very calmly and professionally handled all of the clientel wiht very little wait time. A staff memeber even got coffee for us while we were waiting in the lobby. Everyone was very friendly.

I don't think my room was cleaned except for the bed being made and towels picked up. Garbage was left behind and the tub always looked dirty. Even the curtains were kept closed. Front desk staff took a long time to pick up the phone or come out when I rang the bell on the counter. Not professionally dressed and looked shluppy. The outside door was never secured, either. This was just not a good representation of the Best Western name. I'll stay at the Baymont or Holiday Inn Express next time I visit.

It was just what we needed, we were in our room very little. The hallways smelled of cigarette smoke. Alpine was centrally located to the downtown area, and was part of the Alpine Village complex. It has been renovated and the pool area (inside) also had a Spa and Sauna surrounded by a very large deck with tables. Adjacent to this was a large area for relaxing and or having snacks etc very family friendly.

Our room needed help and the heater did not work, Owner/Manager refused to more us to another room. This is an old property and needs help, the pool was about 65 degrees and our kids refused to swim in it due to it being cloudy. We always stay in a hotel with a resturant for our kids, The one in the hotel was very old and the food was subpar at best, you could tell the food was not that fresh, Bun for my kids burger was a little hard. Would not stay here again

I stayed here midweek, I travel on Business every week and stay at BW all accross the country. This property should not be a BW and is not upto the BW Standards. The women that checked me was so rude that I felt unwanted. The bed was very hard and the Bathroom was not cleaned very well. The breakfast that was included was very bad and not worth the time. I needed the wireless internet and it was down all night so I could not finish my work reports. This property needs some help with management and staff members. A good training would also help with the housekeeping staff

It met all of our travel needs. No complaints. Clean, conveniently located for all of Northern Michigan, easy access to highway, quiet at night, friendly staff. Our room had an outside entrance at one end, providing direct access to our car, and an inside entrance at the other end, providing access to the inner hallway.

This property has very bad service. We went to the Free Hot Breakfast and it was like we were unwanted. The wait Staff took forever to get to us and when she showed up was rude. We asked to see a Manager and a person who claimed to be the owner showed up and was also rude. Guest Rooms were dated and needed some TLC.I will never stay here again and would not refer this property to anyone.

It was clean. It was older. It was a good place to for a night.

Location to other places I needed to go. It smelled like an old book. It was the smell of stale cigarettes and a thrift store. No offense. The staff was friendly and enjoyable to talk to. The hallway itself smelled and looked like the carpeting hasn't been changed since 1965.

Prompt response to alleviate complaint. Room too cold on arrival andheater not working in room. Excellent staff and service. Good fresh breakfast provided in large spacious, well-lighted area.
