It was located in a nice neighborhood and close to a central highway system. The room had only one light switch for all the room lights. Let's see there is no closet in the room, its a mule cloth curtain on a metal rod in front of a spare 12 inches of a converted shelving unit, the door for the bathroom is a sliding mirror. The best has to be there is only one light switch for all the room lighting, no bed lamps, no light near the bed, and to turn the room lights on or off. You have to walk all the way to the room door which means in the dark you are now trying to find the bed in a room you have no experience in navigating! What a nightmare that is when you have arrived late direct from the airport and have to be at a customers meeting in the early am and you bang your shin trying to go to bed! If it wasn't for my own alarm clock on my blackberry, I would have slept right through my customer meeting because the wake up call never came.

The hotel was basic and clean. The music from the lobby was loud and carried. Not sure the atmosphere would be appropriate for a family.

The location was great. No ice machine on floor.

Parking was easy and convenient, the room layout good. The lighting and music made it feel more like a bar. Very stark. The location was convenient and central to Birmingham. Parking was easy and adequate. The staff was friendly and helpful. The layout, design and atmosphere of the common areas gave the property the feel of a nightclub/bar with an agenda rather than a hotel with a more welcoming feel to provide comfort and relaxation at the end of a day. The rooms were very nice with the small apartment / home feel. The video hub was nice, but the hotel did not offer the cables necessary to take advantage of the unit. Most people don't travel with HDMI or digital or composite video cables. I would have gladly left a security deposit for the use until I returned the cables.

The contemporary look was great.

Hip, stylish, very good decor, new and very clean. Didn't feel family friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was a very clean and very hip hotel. The decor was awesome and the room very neat. I loved the sink and bathroom area. I loved that the toiletries were in dispensers and they smelled wonderful.

Nothing. Bar scene, loud, staff didn't care - they were age 20, room was filthy - they tried to pass it off as it had been cleaned. From the moment I walked in - I felt like I was in a bar - it was loud - I could barely hear the registration staff - people were outside smoking. They gave me a room that hadn't been cleaned - when I went to my room - there was a guy in there who was coming out with used towels. He said the room was ready to go - not! He said it had been cleaned. The bed was a mess (sheets were in a wad under the comforter) and floor in my room was very messy. He acted like he didn't know this - I think he ran up there to grab the towels before I got there. Weird. The hallways on two floors were filthy. The staff didn't care. At 1:30 am. I called to ask when quiet hours were - they said they were shutting things down. At 2:30 am. I called and asked again. At 3:00, I got dressed and went down stairs and asked the guests on the outside patio if they wouldn't mind coming in and talking because their voices carried. The 20 year old at the desk just looked at me like a dumb teenager when I told him how disappointed I was. My friend also called the front desk two times during the night about the quiet hours from a different room on a different floor. The beds were horrible. No box springs - very hard. It was not a 3 star hotel. I've used your program about 15 times, and have always been very satisfied. My friends are very leery about ever trying Priceline on their own because of this experience.

The space is great, open, and comfortable. The noise level at night is loud and radiates to the room from the music played in the entrance.

The lighting set up needs to be changed. They were either all on or all off.

Location. Room lighting. Great location, fun hotel for younger travelers. Not designed for business travel.

Very industrial, too much concrete and steel. I felt that hotel was geared toward a very young crowd. I'm more comfortable in a room with furniture, and the room had no bureau or drawers to put my clothes away. There were a lot of little chubby holes and slots that I was not comfortable putting my unmentionables in, as they would be on display for anyone who came in the room. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was very clean, but should be since the hotel had only been open for 7 weeks.

It was very clean. The hotel bar music was extremely loud until after midnight. We could hear the music in our room. The atmosphere seemed to be more for adults.

It was a nice surprise! It was very nice, clean, and the people were very sweet. I would highly recommend this hotel! It's only been open for a month, so there are a few kinks to work out, but the overall experience was fun!

New, different, trendy, clean, refreshing, connectivity, convenient parking, European style down comforters. No continental breakfast. Aneat experience.

Size of room and bathroom. Hardness of bed and lack of bedside light. The size of the room and bathroom were very nice, along with the contemporary styling of the room and lobby. The mattress was a little stiff, but other than that, I was very pleased with the experience. Very comparable to Hyatt Place, which I also like a lot.

Colors. No lock for rest room. A decent hotel near Birmingham downtown. It is new, however I wouldn't think the loft like appearance is appealing. It has a great pub.

Very new and retro, beautiful room, great new look for a hotel. Staff gave me keys and did not program them, so had to go back to the lobby. It was very nice and new and I am glad that I got the rate I did just to see the new Retro hotel feel.
