I booked 2 rooms, because I had some people travelling with me. I expected so much more from this hotel, having seen the label "a W hotel" on the reservation page. I was very disappointed. 1. The chain to one of my blinds was broken when I arrived. It was never fixed during my stay, despite the fact that I informed 7 different people of the problem. Due to the Retail World location of the hotel, the lights shined in my window all night, the whole time I was there. The staff was eventually rude to me about the broken chain. The seventh guy that I complained to said, "those chains are easy to break. Did you break it?" I told him, "no, it was broken when I arrived." He gave me a funny look, and he said, "well, maybe you did and maybe you didn't." 2. Room was dirty upon arrival. 3. On 2 separate occasions, failed to make wake-up call to me. 4. The room description, "315 sq ft" does not apply if you want a king bed. The king bed room is considerably smaller. (At least, they gave me a smaller room, even though I had reserved a larger one, and they told me that to have a king bed, it would be a smaller room.) 5. We decided to stay another night. The people travelling with me, for convenience, didn't want to change hotels. The hotel would not honor the Orbitz rate. So I booked it again, through Orbitz, 2 days ahead of time. They made us check out and change rooms, anyway, after telling me that we wouldn't have to. The look of the hotel is really neat. It is very modern and hip. The service is dismal. I travel A LOT. I am reasonably flexible. I have booked hundreds of hotel rooms through Orbitz, this is my first negative review.

The hotel was fun! The music was too loud in the lobby! OMG, this was a fantastic treat for my husband and me. We're use to traditional hotels and this was definitely different. I don't even know how to describe it. The location is great, room colors were wild but very comfortable. We didn't use the pool but it looked very clean. I loved that the lobby was filled with games for fun time.

First thing that sticks out about this hotel is the location. Not only is it conveniently located for shopping and dining, but also very close to all the major attractions that San Antonio has to offer. The staff always went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Our only complaint was that the pool was not as large as some of the other comparative hotels, but since there wasn't a large crowd this was a non-issue. All in all we were very pleasure and would definitely stay again, especially for the price.

Design of the rooms and amenities in them. No outside spa and no tub in the bathroom. Nice new hotel. They probably designed the swimming pool as too small for the capacity of hotel. At the end of the day they had to shut it down for cleaning.

Simple, well designed rooms. Very comfortable. Liked everything! This was my first stay at Aloft and I was happily surprised. Thoughtfully designed hotel, very comfortable and excellent staff.

Bathroom and bliss spa items provided were very nice. Hotel construction was not complete, bed was very hard and uncomfortable. On check in, staff was unable to provide keys due to the machine being down. I advised them I was leaving and would be back later. When I returned several hours later, I was advised that the keys had been placed under my door, which did me no good at all. They ended up making more keys for me anyway. The bath area was very nice and the TV was large for a motel. The bed was very firm for my taste and construction seems to be ongoing. The curtains did not block much light if you planned to sleep late.

Location was great, very new and clean. No ice available on floor we were staying on. This is a very new hotel. It was clean and neat with a comfortable king bed. It is very modern and suitable for the business traveler in particular. We are leisure travelers and missed the ice that is usually available to guests. There was a desk chair and a couch to sit in but the couch was positioned under the TV. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and the location great for our purposes. Several restaurants within walking distance. I would stay there again.

Large HD flat screen TV with good channel line-up. Clean and modern rooms. AC was loud and cycled between cold and warm. Room amenities included coffee maker, iron and board and hair dryer.

Nothing Carpet had holes in it; swimming pool was not on premises, but off of hotel property and cost $20.00 to use. Location was horrible. Very disappointed. The rooms were not clean, there was hair in the tub/shower drain, the carpet had holes in it; location was very bad. Had to take cab or bus to get anywhere. Swimming pool was not on premises and charged $20.00 to use. Restaurants were a Cosi and Starbucks. Hardly adequate. They had another one but it only served breakfast and lunch-no dinner. This hotel was below a 1 star economy if you ask me.

The staff was very engaging, however limited on what they could really did to solve problems. Never enough T.P.in rooms, air conditioning broken for 2 days and not fixed, room not cleaned for our return, sleep disturbed by others at 4 am. New, very European in style. My team and I were in town for 4 days for a conference where we were vendors. The first night the air conditioner did not work well. After 2 servicemen came it did finally cool the room down about 11:30 pm. No extra T.P. in the room. The second night after working a 10 hour day we walks into an oven again. No repair possible so they did move us to a new room. Again not enough cups or T.P. Friday night when we returned to the hotel after a 12 hour day we were greeted by some kind of huge party in the lobby. Thankfully the sound did not drift up to the 5th floor. Sometime after 3-4 am. We were awakened by a screaming woman and a yelling man next door. To the credit of the person at the desk they did take care of it fairly quickly. I mentioned the lack of supplies to the lady at the desk the next morning again. Saturday, evening after a 12 hour day and loading up tons of stock we returned to the hotel. Locked out again and a room that had not been touched (dirty towels, unmade beds, never enough cups, T.P. or towels. I would not use this hotel chain again or recommend it to anyone. The housekeeping staff needed retrained. The desk staff did try to correct the problems after the fact, however they were limited in just how far they could correct things.

Very clean! I loved the contemporary look, the flat screen TV, and the comforter between 2 sheets. I had to ask for regular coffee everyday. The coffee area & sink area was not cleaned daily.

Friendly staff. Modern rooms. TV peripherals. Very modern, European upscale hotel. I really liked the room. The fitness center was also great. Free pool? The pool table right next to the bar, the ambiance music, everything was cool.

Everything about this hotel is fabulous! Very unique and comfortable. This is by far one of my newest favorite hotels in San Antonio. The staff is incredibly friendly and makes you feel 100% comfortable as soon as you are greeted at the door. The modern/contemporary design and furnishings of the hotel make you feel as if you're in a very posh environment and the ambiance of the hotel makes you feel as if you are in a very hip lounge. This hotel omits a great energy as soon as you walk in. The lobby, staff and especially the guests rooms make you wanna stay there throughout your entire stay!

I liked the modern furniture and it was clean, its new. It was not whatI thought it would be and the staff was adequate. There was no literature about the hotel and it was so modernI did not know how to get food. I feel it was an different experience,I am from Aan Antonio,I love hotels. Stay in them often just to get away from the hum drum of home, so, it was ultra modern, different but not so warm or professional as say Hilton airport. If you need a mystery shopper let me know.
