Aloft...is right next to the airport in Portland...very close to shopping and chain dinner spots. It has a very modern feel to it. The bar is great and it has pool table..outside seating and a cool lounge. Room was really clean...with a huge television. There is lots of free parking all around the area...only bad thing is its by no where...down town Portland is really great with lots of places to eat..the Aloft is by its self. Feels like it should be in the pearl district...overall great!

Loved the location next to shopping, restaurants, and public transportation! Maybe the planes landing were a little noisy when fan wasn't running.Once we figured out the fan, no problem! A brand new, clean, spiffy hotel with a great location! Loved it! The staff was super friendly and very helpful with suggestions and directions!

Clean, bright and pleasant. Too close to the airplane flight path. The location of the hotel is right underneath the flight path in and out of PDX airport. The sound proof is not strong enough to cut out the airplane noise at landing or taking off. The room is simple, compact and spartan. It is good for business travelers, not for family.

My husband and I decided to spend the night at a hotel near the airport to ensure we could make it to the airport the next morning in time for our flight due to inclement weather that had the city shut down. Aloft was a great value and not sold out, plus we had heard about the self-service type atmosphere of this hotel and were curious. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were relatively small, but well appointed which was fine since we basically just needed a place to sleep. There wasn't any food service at the hotel except for a mini-mart with a few options of cold drinks and some pre-made sandwiches, which would do in a pinch. Normally not an issue because there are several restaurants across the street or within 1-2 blocks. Due to the weather issue, the only one open was Red Robin which was closing about 1 hour after we arrived. Luckily we got in early enough to get a meal before they closed. I was pleased with our stay, but not really a vacation destination due to the lack of amenities. It met our needs perfectly for this particular situation though since we just needed a place to stay

Comfortable, conveniently located, very nice staff and activities for all family members. Did not have a restaurant. I think this will be our preferred place to stay when visiting Portland/Vancouver. The hotel was clean, quiet, very nice staff, great location near shopping, the airport and some dining. There were activities for our grandchildren such as checkers, chess, pool table, swimming and a workout facility.

Clean- open-fun- excellent use of space-the beds were awesome-actually slept. Would have like a more ambient light source for night - the lights were pretty much on or off so it was dark & a little lite would be helpful. We were pleasantly surprised by the fun modern decor - the beds were SO comfortableI don't usually sleep well away from home butI slept very well! We just enjoyed the whole experience. Staff very friendly and helpful! Will certainly stay there again.

This was a fun and hip hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, plus great amenities. The bed was a bit hard. The Aloft Hotel is a great place for a quick stay for business travel or before or after a trip. It is incredibly convenient to the airport and the shuttle on demand makes it even more convenient. Staff is super friendly and very helpful, and the fun lobby/bar is a great place to meet up with fellow travelers for a quick drink before heading off to bed. The lobby also offers a very nice all-hours snack bar, which has some interesting choices - pita chips and artichoke dip, cereal, fruit cups, unusual, but perfect for those on early morning or late-night flights. The beds are a little hard, and rooms are maybe too basic for those staying longer than a couple of nights (no tub, etc), but for those who just need a quick stopover before a flight, this is a great option.

Interesting floor plan, lobby layout. Noise from airplanes and elevator.
