Almond Beach Club was a beautiful hotel. I would recommend it highly. I feel though that it was more suited for couples so I wouldn't suggest a group of single friends stay there. It was a quieter hotel and if you are looking for a wild time this is not the place. The food in the restaurants was absolutely delicious. Although do not always plan on getting what you order because the staff will substitute when they are out of a particular item and not tell you before-hand. If you are there you must make a reservation at Enid's. It is the bajan restaurant which is included in the all-inclusive package. The service is much more personalized the the food is amazing!

The beach is small and there are many rocks. We switch to another almond, the Casuarina, wich was fantastic.

We visited this past week.Hotel was at 50% capacity. The service was great.Room was a suite ,pool side .No troubl se getting reservations at sister hotel ,Almond bay village. Best ever Italian food and attentive service.Enids restaurant prepares island food, the best soups we ever tasted. The 100 yard beach is the only downside, full of rocks and coral.Walk 500 yards to a lovely beach on clear, calm water. Wait staff put on a fashion show in bathing suits, they were great. All adults only guests mostly from UK and Canada.Very friendly.Book a private island tour on your own $105.00 US for 3 hours.

The resort was excellent, I highly recomend playing volleyball at 4pm. Also most water sports are included (water skiing, snorkeling, bannana boat, kayak) so take advantage of those if you are looking for adventure, there is plenty to see snorkeling including sea turtles and fish the size of sharks! The food in the main dinning hall is so so but if you make reservations at Enid's you won't be dissapointed! Also take advantage of the shuttles between the Almond club and village, the village has an italian and seafood resturaunt, both are excellent. The room was large, comfortable, great view and air conditioning! I will definatley go back.

Just returned from a wonderful week at the Almond Beach Club. The accomodations were great, the ocean was a stone throw from our balcony, and the bar was just around the corner from the room. The margarittas were fantastic. We love the water and the snorkling was excellent with a reef and two ship wrecks within an easy swim from the Club. The service was fair, but some of the workers took the time to learn our names and shared our experiences on a daily basis. The kitchen staff went out of there way to provide us with picnic lunches for our excursions. Meet alot of interesting people and made a lot of new friends. We were meet at the airport by an employee of the tour guide service. She had arranged transportation to the Almond and later meet with us to book our outings for the week. Everyone was on time and the trips were a lot of fun. I did feel like we were stiffed a couple of times by the locals. On one trip we stopped for lunch at a local roadside dinner and the prices were not clearly posted. The cost was to much for what we ate. There were no bargans when shopping for items to bring home. The locals were very kind and helpful when traveling around the island. We never felt anxious or uneasy when shopping. It was a wonderful week and I will return.

I had never stayed at an all inclusive before and was pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic and the drinks were great. The local cuisine restaurant, Enid's, was delicious and was also included in the package. The property was fairly small but well kept and clean. There were 3 pools that had a nice lounge area. There is no beach to enjoy. But you can lounge in a sandy area that is right on the water so it wasn't so bad. They had daily shuttles going to the sister property 20 minutes away that had the large beach. The only negative was the attitude of the waitstaff and groundkeepers. They were all quite grumpy and never smiled or acknowledged you. (The front desk staff was very friendly and professional.) The waitstaff was also very disorganized. It was never clear who was taking your food order and who was taking your drink order. But none of this was apparent enough to put a damper on my stay.

My husband and I stayed at this resort recently and loved the staff and especially how they did the registration when we arrived. They gave us a drink and basically took us to our room...we have never experienced that before. The room we were in, wow. It was a suite and the living room had only three walls so one of the walls was open but the bedroom was air conditioned. This was the most romantic room we have ever stayed in. At night, we would sit and relax with a drink in our room but it was like we were sitting outside, with complete privacy. The Spa was amazing. We luv to work out and they had great equipment and a gym set up that not a lot of people were using. I did get a massage as well which was very relaxing. We also did the turtle swim which I highly recommend. Everything was included so this worked really well for us. We can't wait to go back and try one of the other Almond Hotels!

I was just disappointed with the price verses the accomodations. The overall hotel experience did not meet my standards for the price I payed. No beach front without going some distance. Food was fine but the waitress were not present. The day front desk people very nice, but the night personnel did not accomodate well, example I asked for an extra blanket I was told there was no one available to obtain a blanket for me. I have never been told that in any hotel before. Getting a good spot at the pool was IMPOSSIBLE. I broke the patio door trying to get it open, the handle was replaced but the door still would not open. My son and his wife-to be, was told that they would be married on the beach front in a gazebo, no gazebo it was grape arbor on bolders and very cheaply decorated.

The front desk/office staff friendly & polite, however the staff workers - the woman to be specific, were just the opposite. My husband and I travel quite a bit, and I've never met more impolite, hostile, rude staff workers. The standard room was very small to the point of uncomfortable but clean. The beachfront is unaccessible to guest to use for swimming, must walk down some ways for beach access. The restaurant food was average sort of bland, surely nothing to rave about. We were unable to secure reservations at the 2 other restaurants on location and at the sister hotel Almond Beach Village for dinner. The one restaurant ALWAYS available is mostly buffet style meals. Not at all what I expected. Beware the All-Inclusive has many exceptions and they push activities and tours on the guest which are pricey.

Did not meet my standards at all. I feel the ads were very misleading, especially the All-Inclusive portion. You need money for many things. What's available for free, at best, is mediocre. Example: the ad states premium liquors and all drinks included, but some wine and reserve liquors may be additional. In actuality, all wines are extra, with the exception of a House Red & White. The staff wasn't even aware what type of house wine they offered just red or white (Merlot/Pinot Noir from Chardonnay/ Pinot Grigio). Did I expect a $* bottle, of course not, but something besides a basic house which tasted dated. Front Dest staff were friendly and nice, although not very helpful or knowledgeable. I was to wrong info about tours that we booked on their property(etc. pickup times, cost). The service workers or more to the point the staff in the restaurant were consistently rude, impolite and service is lously, I've honestly had better at IHOP. We felt uncomfortable in their presence, which put a damper on our vacation being served by staff clearly wishing they were anywhere doing anything but serving you. The beach is not accessible from the hotel, you need to walk someways done to get into the water becausse the hotel's beachfront has big boulders or go to the sister hotel Almond Beach Village (ABV). Would have loved to try to eat at other restaurants at the sister hotel, however, it was booked solid for dinner and we could not get reservations for the time we were there, that was also true of the other 2 restaurants at the hotel we stayed at. Either closed or booked. Highlight did have lunch at the ABV service a little better and atmosphere more pleasant and food better overall.
