The Allamanda was overall an okay place. I wouldn't choose to stay there again, given the choice. The rooms were okay other than the beds were as hard as rocks and we got 3 stations on the TV. Not that we were there to watch TV, but it rained and we were bored. The dining options on property were limited to one place. The food was not very good and it was quite pricey. We found that to walk across the street the food was better and half the price. The access to the beach was the only plus side of the stay. No lounge chairs, but some locals on the beach gave us theirs to use. The hotel is also right beside the local park that holds church services on Sunday mornings. Do not plan to sleep in on that day.

I love the location. The beach is just a few steps away and the banks and shopping area is just a few blocks away. I did not like the restaurant menu very much, there was not much to choose from. I was looking for more local food. I very much recommend the hotel because of its location and cleanliness and the staff is very friendly, they make you feel very welcome and yes I will return. I was a little disappointed with the hotel restaurant menu, because there is not much to choose from. I think they should include some local food. Have one day when they do local food.

The friendly staff at hotel & restaurant. The cleanliness. Floors were dirty. Probably a typical Caribbean hotel. Standards are not the same as in North America. Great location with Grande Anse beach right out your back door.

The public spaces were fine. The rooms were small, the shower would run hot or cold.
