A Compact Stylish Haven in Lively Latin Q
Date of Stay:
July, 2009
This hotel is in a remarkably convenient location to see many top Paris attractions by walking short distances, and is also accessible to the Metro and RER trains. My room was spotless with many new amenities, such as a TV, hair dryer, and individual thermostat so I could adjust the fan settings and temperature as I saw fit. There was a breakfast available for an additional cost, which was helpful on a few occasions, but it's more fun to find cafes and patisseries by walking. All the staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that due to its location it was almost impossible not to go to bed to the loud noise of groups of people at neighboring restaurants or streets until at least 2 or 3 in the morning. Some rooms may be quieter, but I doubt it. Consider ear plugs and you'll be fine there.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in central Paris. Good price and good location.

This is a great little hotel in the latin quarter, and is assessed as such. It is a stones throw from St. Michel Metro /RER station, and there are innumerable restaurants wiyhin a few hundred meters including traditional cuisine that seems to have vanished from the Gare du Nord area. It can get a bit happy noisy when en fete, but we love small family style hotels, and have been back several times when staying in Paris.

Great Location. I came out of the Metro and there it was. Modern hotel with good service at and affordable price. There are great restaurants and cafes around the corner and is conveniently located accross the street from the Notre Dame.

Would reccommend this hotel to anyoneGreat location virtually next to St. Michel metro, 20 minutes from Eurostar and amidst the cobbled streets of the Latin quarter. Pleasant staff who were very helpful when the need arose, double glazed windows which kept most of the noise out. The only thing I would do differently next time is try to get a reduced rate and not take breakfast. While it was of good quality and very well run you can get much better coffee and croissants in Paris for 11 Euros.

As typical for that area and price, the rooms were smal. They were clean and the staff was helpful. I would stay there again.

Great location for access to the big sights in Paris. The hotel is located in the busiest restuarant section for tourists, so it is a bit noisy. There is a busy public square around the corner where street performers do their shows nightly until late, so the area is rather noisy. Very easy access to the Metro and RER. You can walk 50 yards and be in the hotel after taking the RER B line from the airport. Great location to go back to the room if you are tired from seeing all of the major attractions of Paris. Many restaurants availble in the block.

The location of this hotel is excellent and can't be beat. The room was a typically "compact" room, was very clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast cost 10 euro and was very good. My wife fell ill the day that we were to leave and the receptionist made arrangements for her to see a doctor nearby. My only complaint was that they turned on the heat and the room was very hot, openning the window allowed all the street noice in and St. Michel is a very noisy area.

Hotel d'Albe is a great find in the busy Latin Quarter - just across the river from Notre Dame. Our room was large and located on the top floor. The bathroom was also large and well furnished. The hotel staff are helpful and thoughtful. I continue to return to this hotel - it was my 4th visit. My friends first visit and he was impressed also.

Nice spot in the middle of action in Latin Quarter, minutes from Notre Dame. Nice small comfy lobby. Perfect desk assistance. Relatively large single room, very quite, despite the noisy location. Very clean and modern furnished. Comfy beddings. Good price deal via [your website] (130 E for the night). I was on a business trip but I'll stay there again also for vacation, family escape, etc.

Hotel in a great locationI was very happy with my stay at the hotel. When I arrived with 2 other friends (we were sharing a triple room) we were told that we were upgraded. The room we stayed in was the same as the one advertised on Laterooms.com. The room was very clean, reasonably sized and big enough to accommodate 3 people. The receptionist was very pleasant, helpful, spoke good English and gave us good advice when we asked for places to buy gifts for friends and family. The location of the hotel was excellent! The metro was very close by (just round the corner), it was walking distance of the Notre Dame Cathedral, the River Seine, and walking distance of the Lourve (20 mins walk). Being located in the Latin Quarter we were surrounded by lots of different resturants to choose from during the evening. The hotel did not include breakfast in the price, however it was offered at 11 Euros. The only disadvantage with the hotel was that my friend could hear street noises at night which kept her awake at 2am, but apart from that I would definately stay here again, and would recommend the hotel to others.

The hotel is in the perfect location, with a bakery next door for breakfast each morning, walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame and the metro station is just a few steps away around the corner. We booked a triple room for 4 nights and were lucky enough to be upgraded to a Junior Suite, which is the perfect size for 3 people. The room was clean and basic, staff were pleasant. I think the hotel was great value for money, and I will definately stay there again on my next visit to Paris.

Very convenient location for everything. We were able to walk everywhere. Very lively at night but no problem as rooms are air conditioned so you can close your window. To have breakfast included would have been nice.

This hotel is very centrally located, however it is on a very busy "night life" corner of Paris. There are street performers, crowds and lots of yelling in to the late night. If you want to people watch -- although some of it is rather bad behavior -- and be part of the youthful night scene this hotel is in a great spot. If not, you will probably lose some sleep at night from all of the noise. During the day, it is a great launching spot to see Paris from. Notre Dame is literally across the street. It is an easy 1-2 mile walk along the river bank to the d'orsey and many sights of Paris. I would recommend this hotel for the staff and the location, but not if you want a peaceful nights rest.
