The hotel was very basic with only one restaurant with a very limited menu. The language barrier was a major problem as very few staff spoke any english at all. The room was cleaned every day & this was excellent. There were four of us in two twin beds & yet only three bath towels provided we had to sign out the fourth. Very strange. The biggest complaint was you had only one bar & as we stayed for Christmas & New years this was limiting. Especially New Years when they closed the bar & in order to have to get any entertainment or drinks you were forced to pay an additional $80.00 per person or basically go without.

It had a nice view of the bay. It was nowhere near the beach with bad staff. We were in Mexico for ten days, and this hotel was the worst part. They said there was a bus that would take us to the zocolo, then when we tried to take it, they said that they could only take us if more people wanted to go. The food in the restaurant was terrible, the maid service came through at 8 in the morning and banged on the doors. The hotel itself was within walking distance of very little. The concierge staff was not helpful at all, out of laziness and also just ignorance. It was not a pleasant stay.

Ok, I had no idea that we would be walking into hell on earth. The staff barely spoke English, the food in the restaurant was HORRIBLE. The one thing that scared the heck out of me was the wall of broken glass. The door to my room had a gap of about 3 inches between the floor and the door. I had to "pack" it to make sure no wildlife got in. The balcony overlooked a really beautiful scene of the bay, but to my right was a "house" that looked like it had been abandoned 10yrs ago. Plus the balcony was rickety.. I really had a horrible time there. The phone line came out of the wall when I tripped and they made me "pay" for it. The phone repair man stood there and wouldn't leave until I tipped him. Oh... and beware of riding in the front seat of a taxi (even if there isn't any room in the back seat for everyone), we were pulled over and harassed by the police. Luckily my cousin (who was a cousin of the taxi driver by marriage) had all her marriage information with her. Just be aware, this hotel is FAR FAR FAR from anywhere fun in Acapulco. You are on the complete opposite side of the bay.

I have been going to Acapulco for more than 30 years....Usually I rent a condo or an apartment, but.....I traveled on a last minute booking and chose the least expensive hotel offered. I like the Caleta section oif Acapulco because you can get away from the central hustle-bustle and have easy access to anywhere on the Costera for a few pesos on a bus if you're not in a hurry. Otherwise, you can get a taxi at any time. The room was very comfortable with a nice balcony view of the Bay and the Club de Yates just below...Keep in mind that I use my quarters primarily for sleeping as I like to be out and about all of the day. Didn't use the pools as I like to swim in the ocean but the looked fine and varied ...as to age appropriate. The funicular is an interesting touch for transport down to the beach. The mini-mart is well stocked and as reasonable as those on the calle. My room included 2 comfortable beds, fridge, stove, a/c, shower and balcony. The staff was very helpful when needed and went out of their way to fill my few but important requests. If you are looking for a destination hotel this may not br for you, buy if you need a clean, comfortable room with a helpful staff...you could do a lot worse. I would return.

There was a roach in the shower. There was a stove but no pans. My feet were black from the tile. The beds were as hard as a rock. Overall I was ver disapointed with this hotel. It was deffinetly not worth the money!

I was expecting a Suite and I got a room with a refridgerator that didn't work and a wall unit air conditioner that took a while to cool off the room. The bathroom was substandard and didnt have a secured locked door. The door was like a closet door with shutters. Had I not had a spanish speaking person with me we would not be able to function on this trip.

The hotel wasen't as great as I thought it would be. None of the staff spoke any english, the slide did not work, the private beach was just a little area cornered off by concrete. In the room, the refridgerator did not work, there was not hot water, and the beds were as hard as rocks.
