I can not say enough about this place! My Mother and I stayed during a Europe whirlwind trip and our Rome stay would not have been as amazing if we had not stayed at the Al Colonnato Di San Pietro Bed & Breakfast Rome! The employees were so helpful going as far as scheduling train tickets/museam appointments! Best location right in the middle of it all. Will recommend to everyone EVER going to Rome!

Rosa is wonderful! Very accomodating and helpful, recommending restaurants and giving directions. The room was very nice. Only problem was that the bathroom was across the hall (for this room anyway)

Very quiet B&B, great location very near St.Peters and the Vatican, bus stop very near, very reasonably priced for Rome.

The biggest advantage of the Al Colonnato Di San Pietro Bed & Breakfast Rome is undoubtedly Rosa (the owner) and her staff. They made our stay there seem as though we were family. When we inadvertently locked ourselves out of our room, she came right over from her home a few bus stops away to help us out. She was waiting for us on our arrival and gave us great directions on how to get there from the airport. The room was clean and comfortable. The location right across the street from the Vatican was great. The noise was a bit of a problem since we were right near a street tunnel and the traffic was loud. This was compounded by the need to keep the windows open (no A/C). Breakfast was typical for Italy (coffee, biscotti, croissants and juice. I would stay at this B and B when in Rome again.

My husband and I would highly recommend this B&B. Rosa Maria is wonderful. She not only arranged for a shuttle from the airport for us, but she was extremely helpful in trying to get our suitcases back for us after the airlines lost BOTH of them. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast, which was wheeled into our room every morning on a cart, was freshly prepared and the best we had in Italy. The location is great, very close to St Peter's Square, and easy access to busses. We can't say enough nice things about this B&B and Rosa, and would definitely stay here again. Melda, who works with Rosa, is very helpful and pleasant, too.

Great place to stay. Rosa made us feel very welcome and is a real credit to Rome. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when we return to Rome.

Our stay in Rome could not have been better. We owe so much to Rosa Maria and Meldi for helping us get around. It was the first time on our trip through Italy that anyone really took the time to help us figure out the metro system, give us tips on the city, give us needed warnings, and offer advice on special gems in the city. (I would never have seen Caravaggio's St. Matthew if Rosa Maria hadn't told me) We had a room with a private exterior bath. It was odd but we didn't mind. At first we felt like we were all alone but by the end of three days we were having drinks with our neighbors. I cannot say enough about our stay here. Our hosts were so sweet. The breakfast was yummy for European standards. And great access to restaurants and the bus stop.

Nice room (small, but big enough), nice clean, nice host, nice breakfast, nice central, nice quiet, nice atmosphere - Simply a super nice stay in a very very good Bed and Breakfast.

Very, very friendly and helpfull in every way. You feel welcome at once and the maid, who come each morning to make the breakfast and clean the room, is speaking good English. You are served a nice breakfast in your room. You have your own fridge in the room for keeping drinks cool, but no teamaking facilities (as I am used to in the UK) and no common room - so you don´t meet the other guests. The whole property is under renovation and will become very pretty when finished. You are very close to the Vatican and easily by bus reach the city.

We stayed at the Al Colonnato for 3 nights. What a great experience. All I can say is that all the positive comments that you read on this website are in fact true!!! Clearly the best place of the 3 we stayed in Italy.

Very enjoyable stay. The owner was there to great us upon our arrival, in fact she found us in the street as the entrance to the building was blocked by scaffolding. Room was cleaned daily and a great breakfast was delivered promptly. Owner was very helpful and provided us with answers and suggestions during the stay. Room has a small fridge and safe. There is also a small TV but no satellite connections. Would stay there again for it's great location (close to the vatican and st. peter's basilica) and bus transportation, just around the corner.

Great Location (100 yards from St Peters Square) for Vatican and bus line (64 & 571 bus)Rosa Maria and Meldy were extremely helpful to us and very friendly. Great value, great location, very nice people. Only negative was the common areas of the building were being worked on but it did not effect us sleeping or accessing the building. We will stay here again good value for the location. Anne & Bob, Boston, Mass, USA

We truly enjoyed our stay at Al Colonnato di San Pietro. The location was great, basically just a short walk to St. Peter's. The breakfasts were very good, particularly in comparison to other B&B's we experienced. The owner, Rosa Maria, was extremely helpful, which was definitely something we didn't see elsewhere in the other Italian cities we visited. She went out of her way to help us resolve a situation with reservations we needed later in our trip and was very knowledgeable regarding local tourist sites. Her English is quite good. All in all, we highly recommend this B&B!

I really enjoyed my stay and was very impressed with Al Colonnato di San Pietro. We arrived quite late in the evening as our flight was delayed, but the driver we had booked had waited, and Rosa Maria was at the apartment to welcome us. The highlights of the accommodation are the location - right next to St Peter's Basilica, and the breakfasts delivered to the room which comprised of everything you could want (croissants, coffee, fruit salad, toast, selection of conserves, bread rolls and fruit juice).

Fortunate to stay @al colonnato di San Pietro after discovering Venere. Rosa Maria contacted me immediately after I placed my reservations requesting my travel info and provided me with pertinent info(train, bus, directions, watch for pickpockets, etc). I regret contacting Rosa Maria since I was late due to the late afternoon commute traffic. She greeted & welcomed us to her B&B with an abundance of info. It must have been after 8pm by the time Rosa Marie left our room. We stayed in the green room, the largest of 3 with a private bath. The room was meticulosly clean, hardwood floors, air con, marble bathroom. Breakfast was served each morning in your room by Meldi. Coffee of your choice(our cappucino was as good as one's you buy at the cafe's), yogurt, fresh fruit, nice warm crossiant, bread, other snacks. We never ate lunch except having a cappucino, pastry and gelatti. Location was great across from St Peters. Never had to take the metro. Bus 64 around the corner took us back to Termini. Did take 110 bus tour for 13E which allows you to jump off and on the bus at 11 diff point of interest for the whole day(well worth it). Rosa Marie and Meldi made our stay in Rome very pleasant that we did not want to leave for Firenze! Highly recommended and looking forward for a return visit.
