BEWARE: TERRIBLE SERVICE; MAYBE TWO STAR HOTEL. We upgraded to a suite based upon a 'great' internet offer...so there was lots of room, except we couldn't use the sitting room - too cold! Furnishings are ancient and mismatched - look like they came from a yard sale. Heater in one room never worked; nor did heater in bathroom - and it was 0-5 degrees the entire time we stayed. Staff kept saying heat was fixed - it never was. My wife got sick, staff couldn't direct us to pharmacy (one a block away). No room service (and no relationship with the Brasserie downstairs, despite the staff saying we could order and take away from there). Apparently only two floors of six have been renovated - only one suite renovated at all. Maid yelled at me one day because we slept in (sick wife) - actually told me 'Time is Money'...as she thrust towels at me; I told her to go away. This is a classic bait and switch - get some rooms redone for the photos. Incredibly indifferent staff - couldn't care less about the client. We left early and stayed at a great place around the corner - Lennox Montparnasse...excellent place.

The hotel has small rooms but the relationship betwwen price and quality is rather good for Paris. The staff was friendly and it was a good place to stay for a few days. A big advantage is that the Metro-station is next to the hotel. Unfortunately the room was not very quiet but with the window closed it was possible to sleep well.

Common areas (reception, breakfast rooms) are already most beautiful refurbished. Rooms require some touching-up, but such works are on their way. We had an apartment-type accommodation including a spacious bedroom, own entrance corridor, large bathroom and seperate toilet, even a tiny kitchen. Bathroom and toilet were very nicely fitted, the furniture in the bedroom is lovely antiques, but the room needs a general make-over regarding carpet, wall paper etc. Breakfast is continental style; fair enough. For the moaning ones: Paris is on the continent... get your rashers and beans for breaky on the islands... It's not the Latin Quarter, but the location is fine just off Boulevard Montparnasse with all its cafes and restaurants. Easy metro connections and even in walking distance from the city centre (Eiffeltour, Louvre, Notre Dame), if you don't mind a bit of a walk. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is newly renovated, so the rooms and public areas are nice. 10 euros for breakfast is too much when there is no egg, cheese and ham. (only when you pay extra) We are greatful to Eli at the reception for his kind assistance and for serving us breakfast the last morning when the kitchen staff where late at job.

We spent 3 nights in Paris and we really enjoyd the stay in hotel Aiglon. Very well situated next to Metro Raspail, and many good restaurants and bars in walking distance. The room was big and very clean. The breakfast was small, if you wanted boiled eggs or ham you had to pay ekstra for it.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in July during the 2006 "heat wave" when it was unusually warm. The room's AC was excellent and we had no problems with remaining comfortable and sleeping well. The "tour montparnasse" is within a 5 minute walk, as well as several places to eat, and the hotel is situation along the #6 line which allows easy metro rides to tourist attractions. No complaints - even the breakfast was a good value (though not included in the price).

This hotel is in the process of being upgraded. I shall be sorry if they alter the dining room as it is quite the best thing about the hotel. The room was quite good except for the carpet which desperately needed a steam clean. The cleaner herself did a very good job! This place is extremely convenient for the Metro- just a few yards, and another in the road at the back. The cemetary is interesting- makes you feel that death ain't so bad. Would positively go again- easy walk to Monparnasse.
