The estate Poggitazzi is located in a dominant position in the Valdarno valley, near Florence, Siena and Arezzo. The antique ghibelline fortification belonged to the Pazzi family until 1288; afterwards, the Libri family since 1300 makes enlargements and restructurations for the manor house with Italian garden, on the ancient wall of the fortification, the church , the farm, the cellar, the olive mill ( cold pressed oil), the granary . Today, in the core of the estate there are the ancient Villa, with lounges, gardens and services for wedding –parties, meetings, workshops, the Farm with the cellar and the oil mill to produce and sell own high quality products , extra-virgin olive oil and Chianti Docg wines, and the Agriturismo, 100 m. far from the ancient Villa, for the accommodation of the Guests. The Agritourismo was created through the renovation of a large farmhouse built in 1911 called La Fabbrica ('The Factory'). The name derives from its initial use as the site for the processing of all the products made on the farm, which included tobacco, linen, silk, wheat and corn. La Fabbrica was used for this purpose for as long as the farm was managed on a sharecropping basis, and it has now been lovingly renovated and split into a number of rooms and apartments. The agritourism benefits from a discreet yet welcoming atmosphere, with large indoor and outdoor spaces, immersed in lush landscapes with a wonderful panorama over the valley of the Arno river.
