Bülowstraße 19-22
Berlin, Germany
Description:

Overview:
Set conveniently between the shopping area of Ku’Damm and the historic, but completely modernized, Potsdam Platz is the Agon Aldea Hotel in Berlin. Because of its proximity to the Reichstag and Brandenburger Tor, the hotel is an ideal accommodation for business and leisure travelers alike. The location also means a visitor will not need a rental car to enjoy the most popular attractions and destinations within the city, since the major transportation hubs are nearby.
The Agon Aldea Hotel is located at Buelowstr. 19-22 which is an equal distance from the Tegel and Tempelhof Airports.
There are 216 rooms in the hotel and they are divided into several styles and sizes. All provide private baths, mini bars and refrigerators, Internet access, cable television and personal safes.
Visitors to the Agon Aldea can enjoy the hotel’s popular restaurant, comfortable bar and lounge or make use of the three separate meeting and conference rooms. There is also an ample breakfast buffet each morning and an incredibly useful tour desk from which guests can find city maps or make arrangements for tickets and guided tours of the city.

Avoid this property! This is the worst hotel I've stayed in in 30 years of traveling to Berlin. The location and facilities are not as they advertise. The hotel is in a dicey area of Berlin and has prostitutes (both male and female) on the street in front of the hotel at night. The hotel is located next to the elevated rail tracks and is noisy all night. There is no air ventilation in the rooms and the windows must be left open to circulate air. If you have a problem, there is no one in the hotel with authority to fix the problem. They offer you a free drink coupon and say the problem is resolved! The hotel will rip you off at every opportunity in the bar, the restaurant, and with the pay TVs. Avoid this hotel and all others in the Agon group.

I was disappointed with the appearance of the hotel interior in general. This is the old 60's look, with metal doors and surface mounted pipes. The bathroom is so small, you'd better be a slim person to move around in there. We had a family room and room service did NOT clean/service the 2nd bedroom. If you are an older person, you will want to catch the U-Bahn to get to your tourist attractions. Not really nearby. The street block right adjacent to the hotel accommodates street prostitutes. Breakfast was ok. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again.

Central Stay in BerlinWe found the hotel (with TomTom) very well situated. After parking the car we walked Berlin for 3 days. So close to Potsdamer Platz and Checkpoint Charlie, the wonderful shops of Fredericke Strasse and the wonderful Berlins restaurants around Alexander Platz. The hotel was very comfortable to stay in the the additional pull out bed for my 7 year old was magnificent and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Nice sized rooms. Buffet breakfast excellent Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room

Good ValueWe had no complaints about the hotel or the staff they were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. {No tea or coffee in rooms so take your own kettle tea and coffee} It is between two underground stations and bus stops including night stops so it is easy to get about but Berlin is a big city so wherever you are you may have to change lines or modes of transport to get to where you want. There are shops, take aways, bars and resturants within a few mins walk of the hotel if you do not want to eat in the hotel, we never ate in the hotel but the menu looked good value for money for Berlin

Breakfast was excellent, although on a couple of days we had to wait to be seated due to coach parties filling the restaurant. Good location, close to U-Bahn which gives access to all parts of Berlin.

Nice place to stay. This was a nice hotel, room was clean and quiet. Some of the furniture was not in the best condition, but the place did not feel rundown at all. The location was good as well, very close to a subway stop, made it easy to get in to the city center.

Stay here if you want only a clean & comfortable good value accommodation. Its well located in the middle of Bulowstrasse & Nollendorfplatz u bahn stations. Dont expect anything too fancy or with any character.

At Week_end for less then 70 euro for 3 persons (2 adults + 1 teenager) was quite OK.Close (400m) to an U-bahn (Subway) terminal, it was easy to reach the center of Berlin. The Sunday Morning Staff at the Hotel Counter were very help-full. Thanks a lot.For early birds, just round the corner - out of the hotel -turn right walk to the junction turn right -diagonal of the U-Bahn entrance - there is a Cafe which has 24 h open.

Location is good, 3-4min to U-Bahn and breakfast and other service are quite ok. NO free internet in the room, only one old computer in the hall.

Only two things not happy with first was a double room is just two single beds pushed together, i know this is common in europe but at least most other places i've stayed have a double bed base with two single mattress and not two seperate beds - should be clearer in the hotel information.second was that we left our bags there for the day and were told they would be put into a seperate locked room, when we returned from our day out the bags where in the same place, we walked in picked them up and walked out without anyone questioning us - not very safe!! apart from that it was OK

Clean and just a 5 minute walk from the station "Buelowstrasse", so it's a good place to stay for a short city trip. Bathroom new an clean, but quite small. Good breakfast, but sometimes a little overcrowded in the breakfast room.

I stayed in this hotel with my three students. The location of the hotel was so good. U2 only 100 m away. I will stay at this hotel if I visit to Berlin again.

The location of the hotel was excellent, it may have been outside of the centre slightly but a [very] short train journey,a matter of minutes took us to K'Damm. Arriving from the airport just one change at Alexanderplatz and we stepped off at practically front door of the hotel. Staff were friendly and courteous and we had choice of many nearby cafes and [very good] restaurants.would definately go back to this hotel and would recommend it to friends.

Located just a few stops up the U-Bahn from 'Potsdamerplatz', the Agon is a nice solid hotel. Conditions are not luxurious, but there's everything you need & the price is fantastic.I would happily stay here again.

Very good value for money - rooms are clean and spacious. Location - while not the most celubrious area - is fairly convenient for the ameneties around Nollendorfplatz; and the U2 into the centre from Buelowstrasse (could even walk to KaDeWe in about 20 mins).Buffet breakfast is good, but actually not great by Berlin standards - this is a city that takes fruhstuck very seriously: if convenience is not an issue, or you've got up late, I'd recommend going out for brunch at a restaurant.
