Africana Guest House Limited

Africana Guest House (Main House at North Legon) is a large cozy house with spacious garden and panoramic views. It is 3 kilometers from the University of Ghana, Legon, and about 45 kilometers from the Aburi Botanical Gardens.

Close to the Guest House there are many pubs, restaurants, pharmacy shops and clinics. The Achimota golf course is not far away. Lawn tennis courts at the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission premises and basketball courts at the University of Ghana campus are five minutes drive from your “Home away from Home”.

The annex house is located at La Paz, on the major route that leads from the Tetteh-Quarshie Interchange close to the Kotoka International Airport towards the western and central parts of Ghana.

At both houses, we maintain very informal relations. One is free to move about in the compounds and even engage in sports. Especially in the Main House, the guest has the facilities for cooking his own meals. There are open spaces with both canopies and trees for relaxation, all without the noise and pollution of downtown areas. We maintain the green environment that makes one feel really at home. But we also provide connection to the outside world via internet. You can browse right in your room if you have a laptop, or at the internet café.

At both houses, there is the possibility of long stay, at a moderate monthly rate.

At Africana Guest House you can be assisted to visit any tourist site in the country, for a fee.

There are many tourist attraction sites and historic places to visit in Accra. You can also enjoy the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean by visiting any of the well kept beaches along the coastal belt of the city.

At both houses there is a lot of space to park your cars in security.

Breakfast can be requested and paid for. There are restaurants a few meters nearby where you can have your lunch or dinner. If you want to prepare your own meals we provide the facilities. You only need to walk a few meters to the market of grocery for your foodstuffs.

The Main House is close to the University of Ghana campus, as well as to Presbyterian Boys Secondary School and the Institute of Professional Studies. The North Legon Hospital and Botanical Gardens is a few minutes’ walk away. The famous Aburi Botanical Gardens is about 45 kilometers drive from here.

The annex is also located close to the highway leading to the central and western parts of Ghana. It is almost opposite the community hospital and in a mainly residential neighbourhood. The market is very close by and for tourists interested in the interior parts of the country this may be a good stopover residence. Access to downtown Accra is short and easy.
