I have been staying at Affinia (Lyden) Gardens for many years. The newest restoration has made the hotel even better and the new beds are some of the most comfortable I have ever found. This is a wonderful, quiet, perfectly located, small, charming hotel.

Spacious nice neighborhood, close enough to theater district. Carpet was not clean. Very freindly and helpful staff.

The hotel was exactly what we needed and wanted. The room was extremely ample for New York, we were a family of four and we had plenty of room. The small kitchen was an added bonus! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly! It was close enough to walk to all the excitement. We were celebrating my two kids birthdays (11 and 8) and the staff helped me surprise them with balloons and a cake upon our arrival. Would definitely stay at this hotel again and again.

The room at Affinia Gardens was quite large compared to most NYC hotel rooms. I have stayed at several hotels in the area and the room at Affinia Gardens was definitely the most spacious. The beds and bedding were premium quality. The staff was outstanding. They were quick to address any of our needs ranging from asking for additional towels to recommending restaurants in the area. The location of the hotel was good too. We were close to Central Park and to the subway which made getting around the city a breeze. Overall this was a great hotel and I would gladly stay there again.

The king size bed in room T8 in the basement is rarely used so it is in great shape. All other king size beds have been too much used and make the person next to you shake every time you move... The basement rooms smells moisture or mold? The 2 hotel addresses are confusing. Both their garages have a low ceiling, inappropriate for an SUV but there is a private parking on K street for less money and more room in the height. Complimentary breakfast is good, and the proximity to restaurants with river view is great. Georgetown neighborhood has great shopping and food potential, and the Philipps museum has a beautiful Renoir worth the visit.

Excellent location, small kitchened is very useful, room confortable. Free internet, deficiency cleaning of the room, lobby needs to be modernize. To stay at Affinia Garden make me feel like to be at home. It's a very pleasant place.

Excellent location on the Upper East Side. Spacious and well cared for. Next time I would choose a room on an upper level floor. The whole staff was very helpful and accommodating. I will stay again on my return visit.

I would encourage anyone to stay at the Affinia Gardens. Our family of five stayed in a one bedroom suite. I have been to NYC many times and was a little concerned about all of us in one room but I shouldn't have worried the room was huge! The beds were very comfortable and the pillow menue was very nice. It was great having a complete kitchen to be able to keep drinks and snacks for the late night munchies my kids always get.I can't say enough about the wonderful staff! Krys, Nicole, Latoya and Rhonda were always ready to help with directions, reccomendations for restuarants and help getting Broadway tickets and Yankees tickets. The location was wonderful . A short walk to the subway and you were off! There was a wonderful diner near the Hotel that served a great breakfast, there were several small grocers nearby to stock the kitchen . Alices Teacup is must for all of you tea drinkers. In short I think the affinia Gardens is my new home away from home when I visit NYC!

My husband and I and our college student son recently stayed at the Affinia Gardens in the Upper East Side of NYC for 4 nights. We chose this hotel because we wanted the suite with kitchenette to prepare breakfast and snacks and reduce some of our dining costs. The room was very spacious, attractively decorated, with two closets and lots of storage. The kitchenette was small, but had a full sized refrigerator, microwave, stove, cooking and eating utensils, etc. We originally booked a room with a king bed and sofa, but they gave us a room with two queen size beds. It was 1 in the morning, and we didn't feel like changing, so we didn't complain. But we liked this layout better than what we originally booked. The beds were extremely comfortable. I would have liked a dining table and chairs, but we made do with the desk and recliner. I really enjoyed all the lighting, and there was a makeup counter and mirror in both the bathroom and the bedroom. The service was impeccable, and our only issue was the adorable bellman who tried to convince us to hire a car service for the ride back to the airport, when a taxi was almost half the cost. The location is residential on a quiet street with grocery shopping, dry cleaner nearby and no more than a few minutes wait for a taxi. It's a bit of a long walk to the subway, and you aren't right near any major site-seeing areas, but we traveled all over Manhattan with no problems. I'd love to stay here again.

We get to New York every year. This was our first stay at the Affinia Gardens, which is located on a quiet street between 2nd and 3rd avenues on the upper east side. It is wonderfully located for wandering along Madison Ave. or into midtown. Our double room was very large, recently refurnished, quite elegant and perfectly maintained. The staff was very friendly. Parking was readily available at a garage two doors away on E. 64th.

We just returned from a 3 day stay with 2 small children. The Staff was wonderful and very helpful. The room was spacious (a 2 bedroom suite was as big as my house!) and super clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the linens of great quality. I would DEFINITELY stay here again. The tea bar and wine and cheese nights on Tuesdays with live music was a nice bonus! The location was nice, quiet and convient to most places.

Affinia Gardens exceeded my expectations. The room/suite was large, clean, quiet, comfortable and nicely decorated. Perfect central location. The staff was friendly and accomodating. I have stayed in many hotels in New York City, but this is the only place that I will stay from here on out!!

The room was huge for a NYC hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating. A very minor thing - the room decor could use a little updating. I was very pleased with the hotel accommodations, staff, and location. As a business traveler, I found the room to be comfortable with a desk big enough to spread out my work.

We stayed 6 nights and it was wonderful. This Upper East Side location is quiet, yet accessible to everything. Convenient to 5th Avenue shopping and Central Park as well as all the great restaurants along 1st, 2nd and 3rd aveunes. The rooms are oversized, clean and quiet. I will stay here again.

The rooms were very spacious and well-appointed. Nothing! For NYC, this was a big room in a safe location. The hotel is really a great NYC hotel and a great esp. when needing a suite (we have 4 kids) or more people than 2. It is very spacious, particularly by NYC standards and in a very safe area. Plenty of good food within walking distance, and subways stops just 4 blocks away.
