Great neighborhood location, close to convenient subway stops, Grand Central Station, Empire State building and Macy's. Close to a cute little corner grocery where you could grab a coke or coffee. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Affinia Dumont Hotel New York for its location and spacious rooms.

This was a first time visit to New York City with my daughter and my niece and I would definitely stay here again. The room was spacious and the bedding was very comfortable. We were even allowed to order what kind of pillow we wanted. My daughter suffers from allergies and took the hypo-allergic kind. Their was even a small kitchen. Since it is an older hotel, the carpets could be updated. I have traveled extensively and thought the rate was resonable especially for New York City.

We loved our stay at the Affinia Dumont. The room was spacious and had an amazing view, the bed supremely comfortable, the gym was great, the staff always helpful and friendly and the location couldn't be bettered. We enjoyed our breakfasts at the Barking Dog, as well when we ate there at night. Would recommend the Affinia Dumont very highly.

Wonderful hotel; very clean, roomy, convenient and safe. Nice decor. Excellent staff who were very knowlegeable, friendly and outgoing. We had a great view on the 32nd floor. VERY short walk to subway. Will stay here again. Nice market a few doors up. Poor service at Barking Dog restaurant next door. Overall great trip and great hotel. Overall experience exceeded our expectations. Most New Yorkers anxious to assist with directions and subway tips!!!

The hotel was in a perfect location for getting to uptown, downtown and Times Square. The Affinia Dumont Hotel New York is very friendly and clean. The rooms are above average in size for NY. Loved it.

Room was great. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Enjoyed the Affinia Dumont Hotel New York and would stay there again. Location was great. A lot of things within walking distance and if not cabs were available quickly. The overall hotel experience was very enjoyable and left us feeling great about the staff and place.

Great location to restaurants and Macy's shopping and grocery stores. Good views from rooms. Nice touch to have fruit in lobby. They need better internet access.

Let me get right to it. The Affinia Dumont Hotel New York is NOT a 4 star hotel. At best it is a solid 2. The bellhops are rude , the rooms are smelly, the housekeeping staff is unorganized, the night time management is a joke, the neighborhood is very dirty and noisy (if you are from out of town, this might not seem so apparent), the gym is ok but very dingy - as is most of the hotel and you would never know this from the picture on the website. Our 2 day excursion was not a happy one at the Affinia Dumont. The maximum words allowed are not enough to fully convey the details, but it is encapsulated above. My wife and I are not difficult customers but we are experienced hotel frequenters and I can assure you that for the money this hotel charges you will have much more control over the quality of your stay if you stick to a real hotel line that understands the core concepts in customer service. Here, the customer is king until something goes wrong then you are treated as an annoyance. Beware! Beware! Beware! And who wrote all of those glowing reviews anyway? They are either simply false or the Affinia has been frequented by very easy going, non demanding customers who love to rave about mediocre facilities, amenities and customer service.

The staff were welcoming, the room and bed were comfortable and it was very quiet at night. No doors slamming, no load voices in the corridor and nothing to complain about!

Excellent hotel. It was a fitness hotel and the workout room was great. The next day they moved us to the 33rd floor (out of 36) and we had an excellent view of NYC. You could even select types of pillows each night for your bed to help with an excellent sleep.

Nice location in Murry Hill section of NYC. Friendly staff when out of their way to prepare a room for early check-in. Room was spacious and included a full kitchen. Everything was clean, and neat as a pin.

Upon arriving, we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite. I had heard that the hotel had large rooms but this was incredible. The decor was great and the bed was super comfortable. We stay in NY a lot and this was one of our best experiences. The staff was amazing! Everything was perfect. We couldn't have been more comfortable!

We were upgraded free of charge to a suite, beautiful bedding, immaculately clean, nice uptown view, and rooms were very quiet for Manhattan-it was my husband's and my anniversary and it really made it special.

It is very convenient to the Subway and the rooms were much bigger than other name brand hotels in NYC. The bed was also very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
