This is a hipster spot with minimal decor and cool fun touches. The staff is super friendly. The hotel food is fresh, good and reasonably priced. Would be a great spot to go for a Bachlorette party or with a group of friends. Good pool scene. Not a great spot for couples looking for a quiet getaway.

Price. in horrible shape, pool filthy, rat droppings in hallway, under construction, under staffed, room marginal, upon checkin, no toilet paper, no Kleenex. Had to go to office to get towels, Kleenex and toilet paper. Furniture beat up. Room serviceable, that's all. Pool dirty, even when we asked that the pool be serviced, pool still very dirty. Hotel under refurbishment. Mayble 10 rooms total rented. A real empty and marginal place to stay. Rodent droppings in hallway. I would not stay there again, nor would I recommend it to others.

This was my second time at this hotel. It's fun and funky and I would go back again and again. I HIGHLY reccomend it! The cafe there is fantastic too!

Pleasant enough place and right near downtown Palm Springs. Many features of the room were more kitschy than practical. The toilet/shower area was far from clean on check-in. The overall impression was of an attempt at being clever or unique at the expense of taste, comfort, and simplicity. That could appeal more to others. At check out a heretofore unmentioned "resort fee" left a bad taste. Although such a fee is not uncommon in the Palm Springs area, this particular hotel - certainly not much above a motel - was a far cry from the level of nicer resorts where we have stayed nearby.

The room is big enough for our 1 year old daughter to crawl and walk around. The bed was kind of old, I wish the bed was replaced. I am satisfied with the size of the room and cleanliness. I just hope they will replace those beds, thats all. Everything else is great.

The hotel was totally hip. me and my boyfriend will stay again. the staff was kickback and the rooms were as neat as the few pictures posted. There is a dog park so you can bring your puppy and the hotel is kid friendly. Even if it is not your birthday i would still tell the diner it is, because the hostess will sing quite a diddy for you!

Loved the cool ambiance, retro vibe, terrific pools and very friendly service of The Ace. Fitness center was small and kinda "smelly". Room was great, awesome mini bar selection (think bottle service in your room :). However, the guest room doors SLAM shut and there is VERY LITTLE sound proofing, so dont expect a peaceful experience if you wish to go to bed before 11pm or sleep in past 7am. Dog friendly hotel, which is cool, but the hotel doesnt enforce the "keep them on a leash" rule, even though there is signage. Overall, very cool property, but the fact that it was so noisy outside your room was a bit of a bummer. Also thought it was odd that they were so uptight about towels for the pool??? $30 if you didnt return by 8pm and you could only have one per person???

The staff at the hotel was accommodating when we needed to change rooms. I did not like all the safety violations that the hotel had. This hotel is under construction and really should be closed until the redevelopment is finished. It has a lot of work to do before I will stay there with my family again. We actually left and went to another hotel, because we did not want to stay another night. The place needs paint, new windows, smoke detectors, and more.

It was hard to find this Hotel since it is so new the sign was not up yet. Beautiful hip hotel, free internet and use of bikes, grounds are pristine, rooms all new, price reasonable. The best we have found in Palm Springs, it's a little out of town, near Elmer's, but you can bike to the Spa for the buffet. The night we arrived they were having a concert by the pool which was great. This boutique hotel is a great buy and the only downside is once word is out it may get noisy.

This is an incredible motel with wonderful staff, super pools and jaccuzi. The outdoor fireplaces were a nice touch.

Well...my husband and I took a weekend away and left the baby behind. The location is nice. The food is excellant. The saltwater pool is to die for. My only complaints were that the pool area was trashed for several hours after the partying that took place the night before (my husband and I didnt attend the party but heard and could see the evidence) and that the maintenance guys chose to literally start cleaning the spa while my husband and I were sitting in it, relaxing. These were buzz kills but other than that I would recommend the hotel.

Horrible customer service. Very loud music by the pool. Horrible food. Slow room service. None of the rooms (I asked) get dark. The windows are covered in a light canvas and the light comes in the room around 6:30am and woke us up each day. The hotel staff couldn't offer so much as another canvas sheet or even a dark tablecloth to help. Their response was, "That's the decor. We have nothing to help make it darker." The rooms are small and tacky.

Everything at the Ace Hotel and Swim Club was superb. The pool area was just class apart with the best young crowd I've seen in Palm Springs area. Almost feels like you are in Hollywood.

The room decor was the best part of the Ace. Service is NOT their thing, at least not yet for this new hotel. Long lines for check-in, restaurant service was the worst I've experienced 3 out of five times I tried to eat there during my weeklong stay I ended up getting up and walking out / or not being seated at all. They're a new hotel and all but come on. Get more staff and or better trained staff. It took 15 minutes for instance for a staff member to search google for tour information. 15 minutes to find my reservation... Lot's of waiting around. The Ace also booked an on-site party over the weekend that took over the pool area and went on LOUDLY until mid morning.

I heart the Ace! I've had the pleasure of staying at two other locations and have never been disappointed. The rooms are designed to evoke envy that your house isn't that cool and they come appointed with everything you forget or didn't even know you needed! Who wouldn't love an Electra Cruiser bike to ride around Plam Springs on? Oh and it's free! They are the standard to beat! Staff is a dream, they understnad the meaning of service - they are there to serve you without hesitation. An absolute pleasure. Can't wait 'til the NY location is open!

I loved the entire newly-renovated hotel facility!! The rooms, pools, and bikes (yes, free bikes for kids and adults to ride around the town anytime) were clean and the staff were v. friendly. The big pool area has great seating areas and there are large outdoor fireplaces (thru out the hotel) for public gathering or just to relax. Small pool area is great too. Small pet are allowed which is great for families with pets. It even has small dog park!! V. impressive and lots of planning to renovate the hotel. I loved the whole exprience. Only downfall was the coffee maker. There is no coffee maker so you have to walk over to the on-site cafe to get coffee or you can order roomservice for costly coffee (coffee + deliv. fee. + tip). The cafe has good food but you will want to aventure out a little to get variety of food experience near downtown. Ck-in was delayed for hours. My kids loved the hotel and riding the bikes around the hotel and town. I would recommend and would go there again. Loved it.

The breakfast in the restaurant was amazing.... fresh homemade jams, great toast, and uniquely presented. Oh, and the coffee was outstanding with each an individual french press. I loved the bathroom showers and sinks. I was especially impressed with the selection of the mini/maxi bar.

The lobby of this place is embarrassing. It looks like a Carrows that hasnt been updated, maintained or repaired since 1970. The Palm Springs Ace hotel appears to be a 70s motel that has been remodeled for the lowest cost possible. The service was not very good. The room was not clean. The pillow cases had mildew on them. The sheets had water stains. I asked for them to be changed and it never happened. They cleaned the room on the fourth day I was there. I will never stay at anything Ace again.
