i love the hotel! the staffs are friendly. Our room is always clean and made up! great food from their restaurants! the pool was big with the right temperature, the beach was just in front of the hotel, the location was fantastic!

Excellent location, clean, good facilities. Some room features not in good repair. This hotel is right on a beautiful beach and right across the street from shopping and restaurants. Staffis friendly and helpful. In-room safes provided. All rooms have balcony with table & chairs. Parking is convenient.

I think the location is fabulous. The beach is great: clean and peaceful. I have never seen such turquoise water. Absolutely beautiful! The rooms are nice size, fairly standard, and clean.

Friendly staff/location/food in restaurants. Fan in bathroom did not work, told them first day, didn't come to look at until last day. Getting old, need to update rooms, location is very good, don't know that I would stay there on my next trip.

pros _ room, view, location, food & staff excellent this is a great hotel for both singles & family,s special mention to the room which was a delight to saty in ( except for hot water) cons_ rooms not ready till 4.00pm @ check in, hot water not adaquate, need more bar staff @ happy hour However on the whole I would rate this hotel 8 1/2 out of 10

We liked the hotel very much the location was good the beach was great and clean. We thought the food was very expensive at the resturant. So we went across the street to eat.

One of the best, if not nicest beaches we visited during our stay. Hotel was well kept, clean. Friendly and accomodating staff. Right in between Bridgetown and St Lawrence Gap.

We were only in Barbados for one day. We hired a cab from the station next to the hotel. The driver took us shopping and on a tour of the island including the North point, Cherry Tree hill, and Bridgetown. If you get a good driver this a good way to see the island and learn some of the history.

I recently stayed at Accra and from check-in things were bad. the room was not what I reserved and the staff could not find me a suitable replacement. The room and bedding is old and in poor condition. I got an infection from the pool. Water pressure in the bath is super low. The beach is nex door to a public beach...NO PRIVACY.....The food is poor in taste. Best thing about this place is the location....across from a mini mall good food and drinks

I was very concerned about this resort after reading some negative reviews. I was bringing my mother here for a special trip and wanted everything to be perfect. It was great. The hotel's location is perfect. The beach was outstanding. Below are some of my experiences and details. First I am not a travel agent or in the industry. I have done a lot of traveling in my life and enjoy vacationing. I was concerned about what I had read regarding the front desk staff. I found them to be courteous and polite but not outgoing. They have the conservative British personality. I had called and written them regarding where I wanted my room. I wanted in the new wing facing the ocean. I was told it was noted in the record and they would do their best to accomodate me. When we checked in I was told these rooms were not avaliable. After pleading I got now where. However I did find out someone who checked in after I did got the room I wanted after becoming hostile at the desk. So I was starting to believe the negative comments I had read. Fortunately the room we did get was overlooking the pool and the ocean in the older section of the hotel. It was small but very nice. Only showed a little bit of wear. Not enough to request a different room. The linens were nice and the bedspreads were new. We stayed in this room and it was really great. We could even hear the ocean waves hitting the beach. The breakfast buffett was nice with fresh fruit and omelette,pancake and french toast prepared on request. We never had any other meals at the hotel. There were too many good restaurants very close by. The pool was great. Clean and well maintained.The swim up bar was very convient.Plenty of pool towels were always available.The ocean in front of the hotel was perfect. Pink sand beaches and lots of room to walk around. Every morning we saw ladies walking the sidewalk along the beach sweeping and cleaning. I would come back here in a heart beat. I'm not a person who needs a five star hotel to enjo

Accra Hotel was worth the extra money to stay in such beautiful and clean hotel. The beach was nicely kept, and the hotel provides comfy chairs and umbrellas. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always bringing chairs, calling taxis, and exchanging currency. We found the hotel food to be a bit pricey, but it was good quality food. We had dinner at the hotel the first night (which was accompanied by a great show) and breakfast there twice. The best part of Accra was its proximity to the St. Lawrence Gap, which was about a $10 US/$20 BBD ride by taxi. We spent most of our nights at the Gap having dinner and drinks with friends (at Cafe Sole, the Ship Inn, and Jumbies.) Occasionally, we'd walk across the street from Accra to the Quay Side Center to have lunch at Just Grillin', ice cream at Chilly Moo's, or to find your everyday essentials at the Convenience Store. Local food stands and a Chefette are located right next to/down the road from Accra, too. Accra is the perfect hotel if you want a nice hotel and beach located near all the hotspots Barbados has to offer. Only a $20 US/$40 BBD cab ride to the airport; $10 US/$20 BBD to St. Lawrence Gap; $10 US/$20 BBD to The Boatyard; and $20 US/$40 BBD to Bridgetown!
