The people were very nice. The facilities poor. Bedspreads and sheets were OLD....I mean ancient! The towels had huge holes in them. I would not stay there again. The shower was very small. We did not even use it. We had to wash up outside the shower.

I am a 50-something man traveling with my 25-year-old son, and we were fairly comfortable with this hotel. It is not located particularly near any tourist spots in Rome or other places where we visited, but its situation allowed for easy access to the train station, metro, buses, laundromat, restaurants, cash machines, etc. It was quite basic and friendly. Note: this is a strenuous walk-up facility with limited-access (though helpful) reception and a terrace. We found the key access a bit dicey at first and the shower setup (in the separate bathroom) to be impractical.

This was the most awful place; trudged with bags up 3 floors!! The outside was so NOISY - nowhere did it mention that the road running past was a major bus route. Drunks lying in via Gaeta outside and during the night they were puking. Also saw "ladies" being picked up at the corner. Didn't take credit card. Door lock hole was plugged so couldn't lock door from inside. Really not worth the money - use Astoria Hotel (B&B All Comfort) to see what you get for the equivalent price!!!! Couldn't sort out problem with door that couldn't lock ("wait until tomorrow").

Excellant accomadation for a great price. Breakfast is not included but I think this is a bonus as it gets you out and about much earlier especially in a city with so much to see. I was amazed at the cleanliness of the rooms and ensuite. Great location for arrival at the main train station. Perhaps the only fault is we had a bit of trouble finding the hotel as theres only a small plaque on the door reading planet 29 backpackers. We walked past it a couple of times before finding it!

The first thing we saw outside the hotel was road works (which we were not told about), then once we were shown to the room which did not fit the description on the web site we found wet towels in the bathroom (which also looks nothing like the photo on the web site). We were unable to lock or open the window which overlooked an unsightly terrace that led straight to the reception area and was from from pleasing on the eye. Every morning we were woken up by the staff on reception, the workmen working on the roads outside and the workmen who were carrying out building work at the hotel, not that we got a very good night sleep due to the damp room and sloping bed. The staff were friendly but on our third day we attempted to have a shower in the morning and there was no hot water, they said they were unable to put us in another room so told us we had to shower in someone elses room and walk back through reception in a towel to our room. Obviously we declined and asked for our money back and they suddenly had a room available. This room was also unacceptable as it hadn't even been cleaned from the last customers. We once again asked for a refund for the last night so we could go to another hotel, they would not reimburse us with the full amount for that night as they said they paid venere a percentage, which to be honest is not my problem. After nearly 40 minutes we manged to get a percentage of the money back for one nights accomodation, we were far from happy but part of our last day in Rome had already been ruined and by this time all we wanted to do was leave. Overall the hotel was a disaster and I feel that our break in Rome was ruined.
