Excellent place to stayI would recommend anybody travelling to Pitlochry to stay there. Very warm welcome. Excellent customer service. Not the cheapest but not the dearest. Overall very good package.

Myself and my wife stayed at the Acarsaid for only one night. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome at reception. Our room although slightly dated was very clean warm and comfortable. We also had dinner at the hotel which was inclusive in the price and thoroughly enjoyed it the food and service in the dinning room was of a high standard. The breakfast in the morning was of an equal standard. All in all a very enjoyable stay and we would have no hesitation in returning to The Acarsaid on our next trip to Pitlochry if there is a room available.

From the friendly smile on arrival to the final efficient check out this stay was a total pleasure from start to finish. The room was clean, warm and inviting with nice attention to detail. Wonderful bed with lovely fluffy duvet and beautiful bed linen. The food and service in the restaurant were excellent, the wine was good and the whole experience one I hope to repeat in the future.

Do Not stay here. This hotel is very misleading in its advertising and website. The price they advertise as the original price on late rooms is for the refurbished part of the hotel. If you book with late rooms they put you in the un-renovated and outdated part of the hotel which is not worth the price that you are charged. The rooms are old and very dated. The paint is peeling from the framework and there are incomplete DIY jobs evident in the room. The rooms are tiny and just big enough to fit a bed. The staff are incredibly rude. We spoke to three different staff members (two who appeared to be the managers) who were unhelpful and very unfriendly. One even rolled their eyes at me when I asked for something. At breakfast the you are seated on a communal table. There are no signs or indication of where to sit so we sat down. We then had the owner tell us we were in the wrong seats. We asked why? and he responded "because you just are" and then he actually picked up our breakfast bowls and moved us to another table. He did not apologise in anyway for his behaviour. DO NOT STAY HERE EVER.

We chose this hotel entirely by the quality and info of its web site - photos and blurb especially. It promised to be a contemporary hotel in a perfect setting, but the promise was not fulfilled. Hotel has had a partial makeover in that lampshades, curtains/blinds and bedding are now in contemporary colours but the rooms still have the old 70's fixtures and fittings, including mouldy baths/showers, worn and stained carpets. Rate advertised on their web site was NOT what was advertised on their front desk, and rate they tried to impose was even higher! They did put this right though and offered a free upgrade on our next visit. Also, electric testing of appliances was 4 months out of date according to label on our hair dryer. An old fashioned, 3-star hotel.

Rooms are dated but clean and comfortable enough, there was no hot water in the sink despite there being plenty for the bath! The breakfasts were very good though.

The best overall attentive service that I have received in a long time. Room was a bit dated but in no way spoilt the overall experience of staying at this hotel, I would recommend it to anyone.

Accommodation was adequate, clean and comfortable, and the reception welcoming. The meals were of high quality. Car parking was convenient and the hotel well placed for both town and theatre.

My friend and I stayed as part of a group of Ramblers over three days. The twin room was adequate for our purpose. Hotel spotlessly clean throughout. Staff very polite, helpful and well trained and food wonderful served in a lovely restaurant. Comfortable lounges in both hotel and Lodge adjoining where our room was situated. We would stay there again and were the envy of our walking group when discussing menus as we were scattered around in different locations.

Room furniture shabby and dated, although bedding etc modern and clean. Bathroom wallpaper heavily stained - obviously damp or leak. Felt it was overpriced for what was provided. Particularly annoyed to see sign outside on Sunday night offering rooms at two thirds of the price we were paying. Many hotels offer rooms cheaper on Sunday evening as there is less demand - we think the hotel should do this for nights booked in advance as well as for casual travellers.

Good staff, good parking and location. A little dated & expensive though. Breakfast excellent.

Staff very friendly and efficient. Room and bathroom very clean and some efforts to modernise the room though overall the furniture was pretty dated.( we were in the 60's 70's extension and room was good size.Caught a peek at another room in the Victorian part of the hotel which looked more plush. Pure white bed linen was appreciated. The breakfast was high quality- amongst the best I've had. Rest of hotel is dated but clean and fresh- first floor landing carpet was enough to give you a migraine but overall we enjoyed our stay. Good location.

We were very pleased with the courteous, polite and helpful way we were received at the hotel. The manners of the member of staff concerned were excellent. He went out of his way to obtain theatre tickets for us and ensured that we knew about free transport provided, although it was obvious that he was also having to cover the duties of barman as well as reception. We also thought it an excellent practice to provide complimentary tea or coffe and cake to arriving guests, enabling them to relax for a while in comfort in the spacious lounge area after their journey. We were favourably impressed by the excellent service of a well-cooked and imaginative dinner, and the way our opinion was sought after each course on its content, flavour, etc. The food served next morning at breakfast was also very good, with an excellent choice of menu and prompt service. Our room was charming and entirely in keeping with the age and atmosphere of the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be revisiting the Acarsaid.

i thought the hotel and the deal were great, would happily stay again.slight pet alleargy issue, but only a problem if you suffer from alergies, and even then it was minimal. Great town to visit, highly recommneded

We found the staff extremely friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent and the service flawless. A real pleasure, and the room and four course deal was great value. Will definitely be going back.

The only drawback for me was i have an allergy to dog hair and spent alot of time sneezing and blowing my nose, I think perhaps the room we had pets may have been allowed to stay in. This was not really a problem and i never actually mentioned to any staff member and still enjoyed my stay. I actually quite like dogs its just a pity im allergic to them. Please dont think this is a complaint as its not, the only question I would ask if we were to come back could we request a room where there have been no pets?
