I was a bit disappointed about the location, not near the waterfront. You also have to take the car or the local bus to get to towncenter. Rooms were OK and clean. Breakfast was complementary but not fresh, e.g. canned fruitsalad etc., no bacon,... What I don't understand as an European is that you are always reminded about the 'green' policy of hotels and restaurants, but then they serve you meals in cardboard plates and plastic cutlery that you throw away after using it once ?? That remark is not only for this hotel.

The Acadia Inn was a pleasant place tro saty. The room was comfortable and sapcious enoug for my wife and me. The tub was big enough thta one oculd actually take a bath and be comfortable. The hot water was exceptionl-the best I ahve experienced anywhere. The check in was easy and the clerk very freindly. Her recommendation of a restaurant in downtown was perfect. It is an extremely easy inn to find. I would stay there again if I had a reason to do that.

Cheap construction, so that the building shakes when a 9 year old runs down the hall. No sound insulation - you hear everything, not just from the adjacent room, but from across the corridor. Undoubtedly NOT a safe structure during a major weather event. Breakfast is a cholesterol heart attack on a plate. Overpriced. Pleasant campus. Nice personnel.

The hotel was satisfactory and in a very good location. I feel it was overpriced especially since we had no view when several hotels on the same street had ocean views. The breakfast was well stocked and clean.

The Acadia Inn was in a very accessible spot to all activities. An extremely friendly and informative staff. The use of an on-line computer set up in the lobby was very helpful. Rooms were standard but clean, smelled good and were cleaned very well each day. Complimentary breakfast was standard but good and filling. Pool was heated and delightful.

The Acadia Inn was very clean and comfortable for our stay...the hotel staff was very helpful about the area and we even had a bus that picked us up at the hotel and took us down town to visit the Bar Harbor area it was great....we had a wonderful trip to Bar Harbor,Maine....this summer.

I was only there for one night and it was fine, a little on the spartan side, but probably a good value for Bar Harbor. Staff was friendly, helpful and caring. The location was good, especially if you are planning on taking the CAT Ferry to Nova Scotia. Not far from town, so that was good.

The Acadia Inn, Bar Harbor, ME, met our expectations. It's conveniently located and the room was spacios, well appointed, and clean. A buffet breakfast was included. I would highly recommend it.
