Air Freshener at the AcaciaIt is a great shame that the efforts of the people who run and obviously care for this guest house are spoiled by the high level of air freshener that was in evidence during my short stay. It felt that there might be something horrible that was trying to be hidden.

Saturday Night Party StopoverVery friendly & helpful. Modern, basic, nicely furnished room. Comfortable bed!!

Attention to Details neededVery friendly staff, though rather disorganised. There was no soap in the shower, & the washbasin's soap dispenser was broken, as were several of the coathangers (fixed on hooks).The room was beautifully quiet, though tiny, & beds comfortable & clean.Breakfast was mediocre. No choice of bread - only white sliced for toast-making, & no possibility of 'mix & match. i.e. you could only have a 'continental' choice OR cooked breakfast, but not able to have, say, grapefruit segments and cereal. Also, in an English place, no marmalade offered - only jams.

cambridgeReally lovely stay at the Guest House, close to town centre and bus route jus round the corner. Owners were very welcoming and friendly and the food was great. Best night sleep ive had in a while!

Bed was comfortable but the bathroom was small and coming apart, with a hot radiator that your knees touched when you sat on the lavatory. I thought it was expensive for the quality of Guest House but it did have a car park and a bus stop right outside so for a short city break it was OK.

Good location for drivers with frequent bus to town. Clean room. Friendly staff. Only problem was the early check out policy- breakfast by 845 and check out at 1015 which we were woken up for. Otherwise would recommend.

Nice quality B&B, very pleasant and helpful staff. Convenient to centre of Cambridge (approx 1 mile walk), nice area. Beds were VERY comfortable. En-suite was a little bit on the small side, but very good and convenient bathroom and toilets located in hallway.

I stayed here for one night on business. It was a last minute thing so it wouldn't have been my 1st choice but it was a pleasant stay. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The only down side is the walls between the room I stayed in and other rooms are a little on the thin side. Other than that the breakfast was very nice and the staff friendly.

Website directions for finding the place were terrible - it indicated it was some 50-60 houses down the street from where it was so we hauled our heavy suitcases far further than necessary.

We had an exc ellent stay. We arrived far earlier than expected and were made to feel very welcome - our room was cleaned and given to us early with no problems. Staff ewre very helpful and breakfast was excellent.
