Parking in the hotel is very limited. Approx 40 Spaces which the general public has use of also. Got to the hotel early to check in and the underground park was full due to daily lunch crowd. Was then told that I would have to go to the overflow car park for which I was charged. I found the girl on reception to be very unhelpful, unpolite and bordered aggressive. There were snack vending machines around the hotel also which were all empty and out of order signs attached

The hotel was very modern and comfortable. Check in was a breeze and there was free parking in a gated garage below the hotel.

25th Aniversary surpriseThanks to the Absolute hotel for making our 25th Wedding Anniversary extra special by giving us an unexpected room upgrade from a Double Standard room to a Superior Suite. All the staff were friendly, well mannered and most helpful. We are sorry we didn't have the time to use all the excelent facilities as we had a prior engagement with a certain Rod Stewart.

Only a 5 minute cab ride from bus station, good location/close to restaurants. Decor is very stylish and modern. My husband had modesty issues with the bathroom due to the frosted glass partition, I didn't find a problem with it you really can't see anything. I called reception twice , we needed an iron and the internet set up, someone came up to the room immediately both times and were very courteous.I especially liked being able to pull my charges up on the TV and the vending machines which you could buy alcohol, candy and toiletries from with the swipe of your room card. If I find myself in Limerick again I will definitely make a return visit to the Absolute.

My husband and I stayed here and LOVED it. We had a suite which was more than we expected. We had a private balcony that overlooked the River Shannon. The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous. The room and indeed the whole hotel was decorated in a very modern, chic way.We loved this hotel.

We will definitely go back. The hotel is new...open only since March 2007. The front desk was exceptional. We arrived early in the morning after a very long flight from the West Coast and let us check in before the regular check-in time. The rooms are exceptional--rainforest shower head, extremely comfortable bed, flat screen TV, generous-sized room, walkable to City Centre. The only downside? The Internet was down the entire time we were there. We would love to have gotten away from it all entirely; however, I was expecting a job offer and had to check email. Let me check email on another computer at the front desk...and upgraded us when they couldn't get the Internet back up on the Power TV (when she realized how important it was, under the circumstances). Outstanding ammenities... I would highly recommend this hotel. I know that we will be back soon!

Fab Hotel - relaxing for the business travellerThis is the second time I have stayed in the Absolute in the past month, in only the second visit of mine to Limerick city!Great hotel, can't comment on the location as I don't know the city well enough, but it does have secure undergroung car parking, which is great for a city hotel. The interior is great, v modern and "lounge" feeling, right down to the "cafe del mar" random selection playing on repeat!Reception are friendly and immediatley helped to put me at ease and get me up the stairs to my room. The room was a really decent size, not huge, but more than adequate and very well put together and equiped. A large shower and bathroom completed a modern and luxurious feel to the room which also came with complimentary net access. The restaurant is also good, with tasty food and attentive staff. The wine list is grand and not to badly priced for hotel resteraunts. The bar has an excellent selection of spirits, but please please please can you get some nuts/crisps/nibbles behind the bar to go with my G&T - otherwise it would be perfect!Hotel is very well kept and clean also, some americans I got chatting too in the hotel even commented on that!It is now my default hotel choice when visiting limerick on business, highly recommended,

Great hotel, friendly service, quiet location.Very impressed with this hotel, the service by all the staff was excellent, in both reception and the restaurant. The room was lovely, very comfortable, in fact we stayed in the room after dinner to watch a film and had a bottle of wine, as we had been walking about all day and couldn't be bothered going out again!. We did not have glasses for the wine, however a call to the bar and 2 were promptly delivered to the room! Only down side was that there was a hen party having dinner in the restaurant, which made it a bit noisy, it would have been good if this could have been partitioned off from rest of the diners.Definitely recommend this hotel, if all the chain is like this then would stay in another elsewhere.

when we arrive I almost was not able to understand the receptionist because he had a very strong accent from another country and was speaking very softly. Room was grant not good view though. Don´t try to make coffee It was just coloured water. At 6am the fire alarm went on and this episode repeated for about 5 times. It was a disgrace. They told us with two reasons, so I do not believe any. The only they said about when I complained it that I could check out later instead.

LateRooms advertised that CC details were for booking only and total price due was payable at hotel. The hotel needed the CC which I didnt have as it was a family members. This requirement should have been stated on the site! The hotel staff were very apologetic. Would definately stay there again. Excellent hotel!

The hotel was fine. The room was lovely-we got an upgrade to a superior room. very modern. rooms didnt have mini bar. I had a small baby and ended up having to put babys milk on window ledge. Unfortunately there was a wedding in the hotel. At 5 am the noise and singing coming from foyer woke the baby. This noise went on until 6am. When I mentioned this at checkout the recepionists suddenly got very defensive and said there was no noise. i asked for the manager. he apologised for noise and said next time not to get a room on the second floor!!! with that attitude def wont be returning.
