Overall this family owned and run hotel offers a good value for its cost, a modern interior in a traditional building, and an excellent friendly service, all within a central location. 10/08CW It is a traditional white stone building with narrow rectangular and arched windows. The hotel is located just around the corner from the central station. The area has been cleaned up exceptionally well and is now a trendy district in which to live with many bars, coffee shops and restaurants. The location makes it convenient to most of Copenhagen's major attractions including Tivoli gardens, the shopping street; Storget, cinemas, restaurants and the airport bus drop off point at central station.

The Hotel Absalon is a budget hotel comparable to Motel Six in the United States. There are no frills except for the breakfasts, which are fantastic.

This hotel was a bit more run-down than we expected. It wasn't the cleanest room. The staff was friendly and the hotel is very close to Kobenhavn Central. For the price it wasn't that bad.

Small room, very faintly smelling of smoke - the Danes used to smoke a LOT! - but clean. Good location, just 3 minutes walk from the Central Station, breakfast OK.

The Absalon was a perfect place for my 5 day stay in Copenhagen. I had stayed there many times as a child when I travelled with my family, so I booked it for sentimental reasons. But now that I have stayed there I wouldn't go anywhere else. It's a great location right near the train station and the Tivoli. It's clean, well laid out, friendly staff. It's really set up to please. I thought the internet access for guests and the room fridge were really nice extras. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it highly.

They provide storage for our luggage at 8AM until we checked in after sight seeing. Very pleasnt and helpful staff. While not air concitioned the price was right. Easy walking distance to Bohouff (rail stateion) and city square.

Great location but a bit pricey compared to the facility and condition of the room. The outside of the hotel looks okay but the beds in side the room are very very old..... The guest free internet service is hidden that no one will notice unless asked.

We stayed here for 4 days in two different room. We were placed in a smoking room by mistake but this was soon rectified. The service was excellent and the staff went out of their way to help us when our passports were stolen while we were shopping. The breakfast facilities were very good and there were also unexpected extras such as free internet usage. We will certainly stay at this hotel again when next we visit Copenhagen.

We chose this hotel entirely on its price and were not in the least disappointed. My sister-in-law had booked into the Absalon Hotel Annexe but when she saw the facilities (or lack of them) she immediately changed to the Hotel and was also not disappointed.

Great location, close to the station and centre of town. Ladies of the night and day greet you at the front which might be a bit disconcerting for young families.

The area of Copenhagen where the Absalom Hotel is located is rather sleazy, but because there are many hotels in the area there is no need to feel uncomfortable while going to and from the hotel. The hotel offers no parking facilities, but there is free off-street parking nearby.

Fantastic location - walking distance to city centre. Clean hotel with very helpful staff. Rooms were a bit old but clean and big. Surprisingly good breakfast with lots of different things. I would stay there again.

Great hotel for the price. Very close to the train station, and down town copenhagen. Highly recommended. The staff was very friendly. The rooms are small, but good since you are right in downtown Copenhagen. I highly recommended this hotel.
