Downsides first: The hotel is difficult to locate if you are new to the place, though it is not too far away from the metro station. The noise from rooms within the hotel seems to percolate in your room at ease and this makes sleeping in the night, a challenge. Upsides: It is close to the metro, so once you locate it, travelling in and around paris is childs play. Numerous shops are around the hotel which is quite handy. I will only recommend this hotel to people who do not expect any thing for the money you pay. It is not suitable for families.

we found hotel very easily its close to metro, mcDonalds and small supermarket. Room small but ok, bathroom small and clean. Sheets had a few holes! we only wanted a base so we could go and explore and for that purpose it was good value. We arrived quite late at night and surrounding area seemed a bit dodgy but we had no problems, night staff at hotel a bit grumpy but the day staff seemed friendly. You can leave cases there when you check out which was very useful especially as receptionist had a pile of my belongings I had forgotten to take from room! If you dont expect too much this hotel is fine!

Very good hotel, small, but very nice and clean. It's alittle bit hardto find it. All you need to do is take the Subway to Jaures station(Orange lane) and when you get out just look for the Avenue JeanJaures - it's the second one from the river. You don't need to crossany of the big streets and you have to stay on the same side of theriver. Look for the small corner coffee shop and turn right. It'sright there. It's only 2 min walk.

Situated minutes away from Jaures Metro station, the hotel is ideally located and rooms and toilets are spacious by Paris standards. There are lot of cafes and restaurants in the near vicinity, so food is not an issue either though the hotel does not have a restaurant. The only problem is locating the hotel - neighbours are unaware of the hotel or the street name and I had to locate the hotel through the area map situated in front of the Metro station. I realised I was standing 50 metres away from the hotel!!!

We are a mid thirties couple looking to explore Paris, for this reason the hotel was fine. The hotel is only 4/5 mins walk from Jaures metro stop which for us is one of the most important things for visiting Paris. If your near a metro stop you are only 20 mins away from absolutely anywhere. The hotel itself is quite basic not many airs or graces at all but for the monay that we payed I wasnt expecting much. The room was quite small but very adequate for our needs - in Paris you dont particularly spend much time in the room! Room was clean, on-suite toilet and shower facility fine, bed was actually pretty comfortable. All in all it was okay...

The price is great for a room in Paris. The rooms are clean - if a little small. There is a wetroom with a shower in the room - which is unusual for Paris for the price of the room. The area is quite noisy as it is just off busy Avenue Jean Jaurès, but with the windows closed most of the noise is blocked out. The staff are very friendly. Some of them don't speak fluent English but enough to get by and a little French will go a long way! The best bit about this hotel is the area, which seems to be intrinsically French. Very residential as opposed to touristy so the locals are much more friendly. There is a fabulous little patisserie stand on rue Lafayette - walk down to the métro and straight over the other side of the road. (Use the crossings though as it's a crazy junction!) Walk past the Peace and Love hostel on your right, the patisserie is at the end of the road on the corner, at the junction, on the left hand side of the road. The croissants are fabulous and very cheap and Supermarket Ed is right next door for meats andcheeses etc. Take them up to the Buttes-Chaumont park for a nice relaxing breakfast. Métro Jaurès is a 5min walk away next to MDonald's but try not to make that your 1st French meal!!
