Pleasant, friendly budget accommodationI needed to stay overnight in Norwich without breaking the bank, and this hotel was just perfect - close to the station, a basic but comfortable room, and friendly staff. I would certainly recommend it for anyone needing cheap base in the City for a night or two.

Travelled up from West Brom and stopped at the Abbey for 1 night, the hotel room was very clean and tidy and the on-suite meant we didn't have to share any bathroom facilities. The location was good for us a 5-10 min walk into the city. Would recomend

a plesent guest house in need of a bit of a clean, shower did not work so had to wash in the sink in the room.

My only gripe about the Abbey was the breakfast time of 8-9am on a Sunday and check out time of 10.30am. Other than that it was great value and Malcolm, the owner, was very pleasant an d friendly.

A modest but pleasant and clean hotel. Good service, kind manager.Though nereby the trainstation, you can not hear anything from it! Quiet street and yet not far from the citycentre.

The owner/manager was very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, though small, but this didn't worry me as it was for only one night and the shared bathroom was just along the corridor. The English breakfast was excellent, not too heavy with a small cafetiere of coffee as well (don't know about tea). All in all, quite a pleasant place to stay and very close to the railway station where the tour bus calls if you want to do the tourist thing.

does the jobI got the family room with a double and two singles which was a bonus. The accommodation could do with an update as it is a little aged but within that price range it is hard to beat. The shower wasn't very powerful though. I've saved the best til last....the breakfast was excellent with no cost-cutting at all.

Room was rather small and dated but clean and did the job for a night's stay. Good location, close enough to the city centre. Breakfast was great.

I paid £29 for a single room. It was very clean and the toilet and shower are just next door. I was given a warm welcome and the breakfast was lovely.Exceptional value!

Hotel was simple but fine. Would recommend any single travellers to book a twin room, as the single room I had only had a washbasin (and no towel). I think twin rooms come with ensuite facilities but I may be wrong. Was a bit worried when I flushed the toilet in the corridor and found it sounded like an elephant, but luckily this didn't disturb me. Residents parking permit was supplied, but I found our later that this is only needed on weekdays and Saturday daytime

Very friendly and welcoming. Proprieter could'nt do enough to help. Would recommend to friends and family.

The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the main BR station and within walking distance of the town centre. There are also several buses that can take you direct to the City Centre. The hotel is a typical B & B. The room and dining area was very clean and the owners were very friendly.

I loved my stay at the Abbey. The first day I spent in a posh place and my second night was at the Abbey Hotel. I have to say the hospitality at Abbey out numbers any other place in Norwich.

The Abbey is a small B&B very close to Norwich station. For me any budget hotel must be clean and it must be quiet, I am pleased to say that the Abbey was excellent in both these areas. Add to this a warm welcome, perfectly prepared, traditional English breakfast and very reasonable prices and you can't do much better. Possibly the only draw back is the location which - while being perfect for the station and Riverside entertainment area - might be a long walk for some wishing to go to the City Centre.

The hotel is only a few minutes from Norwich station. It is really excellent value for money with very friendly and accommodating staff. I certainly intend to try and book a room at the Abbey Hotel on subsequent visits to Norwich.

5 min walk from station. Everything was fine.

The room was small, the toilet & shower are down the hall, but there was a sink, TV & kettle in the room, and the staff were very friendly & helpful. If you're on a tight budget, this is an excellent place to stay. It's very close to the station, and not that far from the city centre. Oh, and the breakfast was excellent!

Breakfast was good. Coffee, particularly excellent. Brilliant location so near Norwich Railway Station. Service friendly. Good room rate.

Hotel was fine, however our car was hit on the road outside and the other driver drove off after doing £1000 worth of damage.

Incredibly helpful. We arrived well before check in, but were warmly welcomed, and offered refreshments whilst the room was finished. They also helped with directions and booked a taxi for us. Breakfast freshly cooked to order in the morning. Also very convenient for both station and town centre. Would most definitely stay there again, Thank you!
