Convenient, in need of an upgradeHotel fine, rooms good size, slightly shabby and in need of a refrub. Staff good, efficient and friendly. was only at the hotel 7 hours, breakfast (buffet) was a little tired looking, I didn't eat hot although the menu looked comprehensive. Convenient for MK on A5 so will use this hotel again especially at teh laterooms.com prices. would be hard to justify full rate card charge for rooms. Free internet is a big PLUS for this hotel. Why are hotels still charging for internet access?

Sorry! but...Room was in a terrible state of disrepair, i changed rooms due to the smell in one, with the second being even worse. Plaster and damp around the windows, cracks and poor repairs in the ceiling.Gym, dont be fooled by the web, terrible! only open until 7.30pm as well.

excellent reception staff- shame about the pool!!!!Family of four stayed one night. Hotel was v busy and as a result very, very small swimming pool was maxed out about 10 minutes after we got in. When we requested towels from the pool reception, we were told we would have to wait 30mins for some as they had run out!!! Pool was a bit shabby and made everyones eyes sting - so we didn't wish to stay in it any longer, particularly as it was over-crowded. Towels appeared after 10 mins and irrate husband complained!! Only ate breakfast in hotel- which was mediocre. Lady on reception was extremely helpful and courteous and althought the room was basic, it was fine for an overnighter.

Silverstone TripAs the title suggests i used this hotel for an overnight stay for the silverstone weekend. Excellent location for the event being only 15 mins away. Nice hotel with a friendly welcome at reception. The room was nice and clean and comfortable with a tv and a tea/coffee making fascility, could have done some biscuits to go with a cup of coffee. The only downside is that the air con was not working properly(the problem with the aircon was being addressed) and it being a warm evening was a bit warm at night. The hotel has a pool but was very small which disappointed the children, but is was refreshing after a 3 hour drive and there was also a suana and steam room. The food in the hotel was very good we had a bar meal the evening and breakfast which had plenty to chose from. The breakfast staff could have been a more friendlier and not so keen to whip your plate away before you had chance to swallow your last mouthful.

The Abbey Hill Hotel is well situated for those wanting to stay on the outskirts of M.K. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and had a pleasant view over the golf course. My complaint is regarding the general cleanliness of the room and in particularly the bathroom. The bedroom foor had nail clippings on it and the bathroom floor was full of 'short and curlies'. I had to ask the reception to ask housekeeping to thoroughly clean the bathroom for my second night. On my return it had been done but not thoroughly. I understand budget accommodation but I draw the line at substandard cleanliness. The sheets and pillow cases alson looked like they needed changing. The food on the whole was very good apar from my salad that was brown and wilted and a glass of Shiraz that was somewhat vinegar like.

Silverstone WeekendAlthough our stay was very pleasant the staff did not seem to be able to cope with such a large amount of people in the restaurant with most people arriving back from the track at the same time. This was noticable on Saturday 20th . Our table had no serviettes and we waited a long time for our desserts which had obviously been forgotten. The staff were tired and working long split shifts.

Ideal for a one night stay for a family visiting Woburn Safari parkNice hotel. room pretty much as we expected, similar to a travel lodge but hotel also had a pool (small but nice) and with breakfast included it was excellent value for money as it only worked out around £15 more than the nearest travel lodge.

Very Help staff, and excellent food. The reception area looks modern and newly refurbished but the rooms are still very 80's. The bedroom was clean and well furnished but let down by the damp marks all around the windows and the damp smell. The lighting in the room could also have been a little less commercial. Other than that a very pleasant stay, and for the price of £45 for 2 people including breakfast, I think is very hard to beat.

A restful nightThe room and the hotel in general were really clean. The pool and sauna are small but an advantage after a long drive! The only negative point was that there were not enough towels (bath) in the room. Great value for money - We will stat there again.

We found the hotel more than comfortable. Just one or two comments about housekeeping. Our shower creams were empty, there was no kettle in the room and the base of the bed looked stained.

Milton Keynes Local Hotel Weekend BreakI have to say that this hotel was very pleasant and I would visit again. It has nice small family pool and physical fitness suite. Is on the edge of a golf course. The staff were excellent, the food was excellent the only thing which was not acceptable was that there was a musty smell or damp smell which filled the room when you first entered. I established that this originated from the bathroom which did not appear to have adequate ventilation. There was internal venting in the bathroom but this did not seem adequate for the steam etc of normal bathroom use. We did not complain whilst at the hotel about the smell as it seemed to disappear once you had opened the windows and only returned if the windows and doors were closed for a few hours. Difficulty was as it was on the ground floor you could not leave the windows open for security for long periods of absence.

Nice Locationsituated on the edge of MK, the hotel is on the edge of a housing estate, next to the golf course and open fields. Easy to get to (just off the A5), cheap, breakfast was only avaerage. Some nice pubs in the nearby villages (we went to the one in Calverton). The Rooms were clean and well appointed, and the hotel was above average for the £40 we paid.
