Abaco Beach Resort was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, the restaurant was outstanding, and the poolside entertainment was fun.

Do not get a room on the bottom level. The AC only blows air, and never gets the moisture out of the room. It was like sleeping in a sauna. When I inquired about another room, I was told they were all like that on the bottom level. My passport was left lying out, and upon my return, it looked as though it had been left in a steam room, all wrinkled up. They also use those plastic covers on the mattresses, and the sheets are not fitted, so you are all wet in the bed from humidity, and can't turn over because the sheet comes undone....it was miserable to say the least. Also....lock your toothbrush in your luggage when you leave your room. I lived on a boat in their marina for a season, and it was a well known joke among the local staff as to what they did with the tooth brushes. Nasty but true.

Staff was incredibility friendly, location was great. Boat rentals and dive shop 100 feet away with excellent diving. Room was nice size and comfortable. Food was good, a tad expensive even for breakfast but food was expensive everywhere off grounds also. Water was warm and so clear you could see the small fish in 25 ft. on the bottom. Great time.

We felt the pictures on the internet did not represent the room we got. There were many things that needed repair -particularly the steps leading to the pool. The airconditioning broke the last two days we were there - very hot uncomfortable nights.
