Location is very close to Chinatown, Central station, buses, monorail and light rail. The hotel room was clean. It is very noisy when it comes to street noisy especially at night with street cleaning and garbage pick up every night. It is a basic budget hotel handy to public transport and close to the CBD. Sorry but would not stay again. Some of the staff were very helpful others weren't interested.

Booked a deluxe family room, where was the deluxe, the bunks and double bed made to fit into a single room, no sleep as too noisy. In need of an update. On our return to the hotel we found out our deluxe family room had been degraded to a two bunk room and no explanation as to why just blamed us, would not stop there again. very dodgey and ordered a taxi it never showed up within the hour so we had walk and find our own taxi. not good.

Well, the hotel is a great deal for you buck. We were on a budget and the hotel was definitely worth the money. The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful, and it was in an ideal location. Only issue was the noisy trash trucks in the morning.

Good hotel but room is too small.

The reason I said the facilities were bad is because there was no hot water in the sink, and no plug. And one of the lights in the room didn't work. And the toilet door was difficult to lock.Other than that everything was fine. thankyou

Walked out. NOT a 3*, but possibly close to a 1*. Painted brick walls (peeling), very old a/c unit, no plug for sink, stained sheets, broken furniture, moldy shower, broken shower door..... NOT refurbished as advertised on website and brochure. Only for the desperate or poor.

great service as every member of staff is very helpful. great location as everything is walking distance - that's lots of savings for taxi. just about 5 strides away is paddy's market where you can cheap shopping. there's even all-day pass for 17aud for suburb shopping. great value as this is the lowest non-backpackers hotel on this website. the only setback is that rooms are not soundproof as we heard the nightly squabble & bickerings of an aussie couple next door. i also suggest that they offer buffet meals at affordable prices.

Good place & thanks to management for upgrading my hotel room to a superior room as my honeymoon gift.

I booked a delux family room with HK * but looked like no more than a single room with additional bunked beds. No spare spaces for activities for our children at all. The toilet was smelly and the floor, walls or even the beddings were dirty. Black spots were on white beddings everywhere. We needed to cover the pillows with our clothes in order to sleep. A very disappointed experience and ruined our whole Australia holidays. When we left the hotel, the taxi booked by the hotel charged us AUS * to the international airport while the day before we just paid AUS * from airport to the hotel. I wonder what was the deal between this hotel with the taxi company and obviously we were the victim of these special relationship. I swear I would not go to this hotel again.

I got a free complimentary hot breakfast when I staid, which I found really nice until I discovered that they didn't have a good alternative for vegetarians. Too bad!

The reception service is not friendly. Especially when we arrived early in the morning 8.30 am (After the over night flight) they do not keen to find a room or clean up the room immediately although we keep on approaching them. As we know there are a few guests have already checked out. We were waited for almost 2 hours at the end we give up to come back after 2 pm.

Room * was obviously a single room with a double bed shoved into it. Booked for four nights, walked out after one. Room 133 booked for our daughter and her son, requested two twin beds, were supplied with a double bed. Not happy Jan

It's really a budget hotel. Room quite clean, but the toilet/bathroom smelled very strongly of ammonia. Location is great - next to Haymarket.

older style hotel but facilities are good, very clean and plenty of room. Great location close to markets, easy walk to darling harbour room was ready earlier than check in and we were able to leave luggage after check out till we were ready to pick up

I stayed in lots of Hotels around the world, this is the worsest Hotel I ever stayed. A lot of money for a terrible Hotel, it is like a Backpackerstyle. Filthy old and not worse a cent

Excellant location. Older hotel in need of remodeling. Lots of street noise, most likely due to the old windows. Hotel staff excellant. J..., who helped us with check in/out was so helpful. Nice that we could store our bags after check-out for our flight that evening.
