Munich A&OOnce inside your room, this is a comfortable place to stay. The image and facilities are much more geared towards the hostel which is part of this hotel. Having said this the staff were friendly and helpful and it was clean. Location is great for travellers as it is 5 mins walk from the main train station and only 20 mins walk into central Munich.

The location is good near to main train station walking about 5-10 min. the breakfast are ok the staff are quite friendly. the rate is ok if during non peak.

Highly recommended if you are looking within a budget but don't want to stay in a grubby Hostel! I expected basic accommodation, as it is a hostel rather than a hotel, but was very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room,the comfortable bed, very good shower etc. The room was small but very adequately furnished. Staff were very helpful and polite and we were able to check in early, which was most welcome after a flight overnight.Directions to the hostel could be better - basically when you come out onto Bayerstrasse you turn right and carry straight on until you see the A&O on the other side of the road.

good place A&O City bills itself as a hostel and as a hostel it is probably incredibly high quality. The hotel was easily within walking distance of the central trian station. It could have been advertised at the station to help travellers find it. The room was small but nicely furnished. There weren't any extras you might find in a more expensive hotel (telephone, alarm clock) but for a short stay or simply a place to lay your head after a long day of sightseeing it is well worth it. My only complaint was the other guest who were a bit loud in the middle of the night.

To enter our room we had to go out of the main building,walk along an outside path,go through a door,up a flight of stairs then go up in the lift.The lift was not level with the floor and when my mother was getting in the lift she tripped,due to the gap,fell and hit her head on the back wall of the lift and badly bruised her hand.My son requested the first aid kit and put a bandage on her hand.He also asked for a full refund which was given in cash.

The previous review would have been better if it had explained how to find the hotel; I agree the map is wrong. The hotel is further west, out of town, although it's only a five minute walk from the main station.From within the station I recommend walking to the end of platform 11 under cover, turn left by the Bayern Forum and down the escalator, cross over Bayern Str. at the traffic lights ahead of you and turn right (westwards), the hotel is about 100 m further ahead on your left.

Good value for money. Basic, but beverages, beer / wine, snacks available at reasonable price, 24 hours.Beware 3 things not quite right .....1) Hotel map (on late rooms website) takes you to 7 Bayerstrasse, not 75 Bayerstrasse .... bad feeling on arrival to find your hotel isn't there !! 400m walk when you find out correct direction.2) Non-smoking hotel .... so pointless having a 'smoking room requested' option3) Wireless internet is not strong enough to reach most rooms !!! So it's sitting in reception if you want to work on-line.
