I was not able to check in till the next day because of flight cancellations, and the hotel was able to accommodate me for an extra day to extend my stay in the city! The staff was wonderful and I truly enjoyed my stay. I had an upper floor with the view of the Empire State Building-breathtaking! Comfortable beds, temperature control room, an intimate bathroom, flat screen tv, complimentary bathrobes...I am spoiled!! I truly had a wonderful time beginning my day with their delicious continental breakfast. I highly recommend this boutique hotel to one who deserves only the very best!

70 Park Avenue was a nice location for us. We had a 20 minute walk to Central Park, a 20 minute walk to Broadway, a 20 minute walk to St. Patrick's Cathedral, a 5 minute walk to Grand Central ... everything was a pleasant walking distance away. Perhaps if you don't like walking as much as we do, or if you prefer to be right in the middle of the hubbub, but if you like it slightly quieter, this was just the right distance.

Proximity to Grand Central Station. Very small bathroom that lacked proper ventilation. Overall our experience at 70 Park Ave. was a positive one. The staff was helpful and we received a call from the concierge on our first day, asking if there was anything we needed help with. Our only real complaint was the very small bathroom that needed a working vent fan of some sort. We enjoyed our stay and especially the easy walk to Grand Central Station (also not far from Times Square).

I have stayed in many hotels in the city but by far this was the best. I prefer smaller boutique style hotels . The location is superb, staff super friendly and helpful. The fitness center is around the corner , just a short few block walk. Makes you feel like you are a part of the city. Wine hour is a bonus! The best kept secret, I feel like I've found a gem!!

6 "girls" 3 generations traveled to NYC for my Mom's 70th birthday. We stayed in two rooms at this hotel and found it to be outstanding. The location was perfect - close enough to walk to Times Square - but also very quiet. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable (small - but completely comfortable) and the showers were great! This hotel has a small feel to it, but it was perfect for us. If I could change anything it would be to have a refrigerator with space (not stocked with overpriced mini-bar items), and either a coffee pot in the room, or coffee served before 8AM in the lobby. The free wine happy hour was great! There is a Starbuck's that's only a 2min walk down the street.

A convenient, comfortable hotel with many extras to enhance your stay. We enjoyed the complimentary afternoon wine reception in the small but inviting lobby lounge, newspapers at our door and in the lobby, and morning coffee service in the bar/lounge area. The rooms (especially bathrooms) were small but stylishly furnished and outfitted with robes and extra towels. The friendly and professional staff quickly accomodated our request to be relocated away from noisy dogs in another room. Definitely would return!

Great location - we were able to walk almost everywhere! The consierge was awesome. They were able to get us discount Broadway tickets and made a personalized running route for us through Central Park. We had a great time, and we would definitely stay there again.

Great location, very quiet area at night. For a business traveler, this is good. Room is nicely appointed, bathroom is small but very nice. I found the staff was quite friendly. The things is felt were slightly below par. Lack of any type of business center, computers are located in the middle of the lobby. Pillows are airline quality, continental breakfast for $19.00 is ridiculous.

Great hotel, location was great for us as it was not too far from Times Square, but far enough it was quiet. Room was on the small side, but was fine as we did not spend much time in the room. Very close to Grand Central Terminal. I would definately stay again.

NYC hotel prices have really gone up that past few years - I had heard thru a friend about 70 Park Ave & found a great price on Travelocity. Our room was great - overlooked Park Ave - spacious which for a nyc hotel is sometimes hard to find, clean - very comfy bed & other furniture - service was excellent - location was really convenient & we loved the wine hour every day!!

My sister and I stayed at 70 Park Ave over Memorial Day weekend and were over all very satisfied with the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly. We checked in at 5pm, just as their daily wine reception began and were greeted with a glass of wine (a nice touch after a day of travel). The location of the hotel is probably one of it's greatest assests. It's only a 5 minute walk to Grand Central, so taking the subway was a reasonable option for us "first timers". We used NYAS to shuttle from the airport. They drop off and pick-up at Grand Central so there was an affordable, no hassle option in getting there from the airport. The walk to Times Square is approx 15 minutes and we found, particularly on the holiday weekend, it was very nice to be away from the hoards of tourists at Times Square. Park Ave seemed a quiet respite in comparison. I have stayed in all types of hotels, and while I generally choose 4 star accomdations, I should say that am not nearly as picky as you'll find many other reviewers. I thought the property seemed a bit older, and the rooms were rather small, but the decor and amenities in the room were quite nice. The beds were comfortable and our room did not face the street so there was no noise. I don't see any reason not to recommend this property to other travelers.

This hotel is in a great location - most place are within walking distance. The staff were all very helpful and friendly - we arrived before check in time but our rooms were ready. They recomended some great reatuarants nearby and the complimentry wine in the evening was very nice!! It is not the cheapest hotel but you definately get what you pay for!

We stayed for a weekend getaway and it was a great experience. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was very clean and always attended to. The location was central to everything and in a great neighborhood with a wide selection of eateries nearby. And the concierge was extremely helpful. The only slight inconvenience was the flat screen television -- beautiful -- but it did not respond well to the remote control unless you were directly in front of the sensor. Minor irritation. We will definitely be back.

Very nice sized room for the price I paid and for NYC. The staff seemed nice, but my only experience with them was during check in and check out.

It was aesthetically pleasing, the staff was extremely polite & professional. I enjoyed my stay at the 70 Park Avenue hotel. The room and lobby were aesthetically pleasing, the staff was extremely polite & professional. The room was very quiet and the decor was great. The wine reception each night was simply the icing on the cake!

If there is one thing to complain about his hotel is that the check in time was 3:00 pm. I was not aware of this but they took care of my luggage and when I returned from the city the room and keys were ready for me. Great Hotel in great location. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Clean and nice cosy room with everything you need in there. Hotel is in walking distance to Time Square and the Empire State Building. Would go there again and will recomment to friends. Enjoy

Very good hotel to stay when moving through the many happenings of New York. Convenience of Grand Central keeps transportation cost reasonable to move uptown and downtown

Great location, friendly staff. Very small rooms and bathrooms. Conveniently located with small rooms, slightly above average in overall quality. Dirty towel was left in the closet and spots on the mirror in the bathroom did not give one the impression that the hotel was very clean.
