Quite funky decor and the advantage of a 24 hour bar. My room was very small and you get noise from other rooms. Probably about 20% more expensive than it should be.

Small but nicely furnished in Japanese styleThis is a nice little hotel. You can park just around the corner by the tube station 24 hours. The rooms are small but very nicely decorated in a japanese style. The bar and restauraunt open out onto a lovely Japanese garden where you can sit out. The included continental breakfast was of good quality. I wouldn't want to spend too long in the room and you need to consider that if you're staying for a few days. Otherwise a very nice little hotel

Stylish Boutique HOTEL 55After an Amazing holiday in Oman we flew back to Heathrow tired but Happy! We drove just 20 minutes and arrived at the hotel 55. From the minute we arrived the service and greeting was fantastic. We had the most beautiful comfortable and stylish room. We have stayed at a great deal of hotels but we truly loved this hotel, the bed was sooooo comfortable and being able to have a lounge bar downstairs open 24 hours was fantastic! The tube was just around the corner which was ideal. I loved Sunday morning sitting in the garden having a coffee just what you need. Definitely going to stay. Perfect!

Hotel 55A nice hotel considering it's past history. A busy location. The rooms are clean and functional, although some fairly overlooked by neighbours. The flip side to this hotel is lack of parking space outside the building which is not published when advertising.Nice restaurant adjacent.

small and unsafe!to say my room was small was the understatement of the year - although the website did warn the room was cosy - i wasn't prepared for the room to be so small that there was no room for my suitcase other than next to me on the bed!My bigger issues is that all of the locks on the window weren't working meaning the windows from this gound floor room could be opened from outside. the hotel wasn't full and when i asked to be moved to a more secure room the manager was just plain rude.also, i could hear everything in the rooms either side and above me i didn't expect much for 85 quid however, for me, knowing that your room is secure isn't being too demanding!

We were quite disappointed that the room was very small, we could hardly move around in it! Bathroom was nice, although one of the glass shelves was broken and kept falling off the wall. There was buliding works going on outside the hotel which was quite noisy in the morning, as we were on the ground floor and the builders kept walking past our window! Also, if you are planning to stay here, be careful which credit card you use to secure the reservation, as although they advise you that no payment will be taken from the card until you arrive, I had payment taken from my card while we were in our room in the evening, (without my consent) which was quite inconvienient as we were planning to pay cash. Also, I always prefer to be there if my card has transactions put on to it for peace of mind! The continental breakfast wasn't great as it was served in the bar area, which due to the glass roof is so hot (almost like a greenhouse!) This made all the meat they had laid out quite warm. We were one of the last couples down to breakfast, and we felt the staff were waiting for us to leave - they started clearing away the breakfast cereals, milk, etc before we were even half way through our food! All in all, we were quite disapointed, I'm sure there are hotels in London which are much better value for money.

Modern BijouRoom a little small but made up for by the quality of the fixtures and fittings. Staff friendly and courteous. Overall a very pleasent hotel with a modern spacious air.

Gorgeous room, great staff and super bar area. Parking is a bit of a pain though so you need to be aware of that and expect to have to park either in a side road or in North Ealing tube station care park which is £2.10 for 24 hours. If you are travelling up the Hangar Road from Gunnersbury then be aware the hotel is one the other side so you will need to turn around and come back if travelling in that direction. Is is very noisy if you are not used to city noise; Hangar Road is relentlessly busy. BUT, the room and the bed was lovely and it's very good value for such a good location in London.

A little nuggetA tiny oasis in the hustle and bustle of Hanger Lane. Accommodation, bar, restaurant and garden were of high quality, all staff were extremely attentive and the stay was very enjoyable. Ok the room was small, but cosy it was advertised and cosy it was. If I wanted a bigger room, it was available but at a slightly higher price. Great night's sleep on a tempura mattress with very little outside noise. Will definitely come back

very well run and friendly hotel. Great location with tube station 2 mins walk away. The Japenese Restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent. Very individual with very orginal menu. It was good to see so many Japenese people eating there which is a testoment to how good it was. Staff in both hotel and restaurant were great and couldnt do enough for you. Altough the road the hotel is located on seems a little run down, once you nwalk through the front doors of Hotel 55 it is a lovely, attractive and intimate hotel.

The Hotel was great value for money, the breakfast was outstanding and the staff where very friendly. The reasturant within the hotel was of a high standard, the food was lovely and tasty. The only bad thing I have to say is the 12% service charge they put on the bill without telling you before hand.

The advertiser who chose words like \"sumptuous\" to describe the room should be prosected under the trade description act. The room was so tiny that my wife and I had to have a trafiic light system to move around the room. I say move, it was more of a sideways shuffle as the bed took all of the room apart from a few inches on each side. The bathroom was so small, you had to stand at the wash basin at an angle, and the basin would only hold a thimble full of water. Food was very good, although I did have difficulty ordering a pot of hot water instead of tea.

Lovely hotel with a bright futureI got the impression that this was a new hotel and that it hadn't been running long but they seemed to have everything up to a high standard. Check-in was easy, room was extremely comfortable, shower worked brilliantly, good signal free WIFI was an unexpected bonus. There was a slight issue with my room key but that was quickly resolved. Breakfast was continental only so no fry up but that was fine for me.The restaurant is Japanese and I enjoyed the Sushi! I'd recommend this hotel to anyone going to London. It was helpful for me working in Ealing which was a 10 minute walk away.

Excellent value for moneyDon't be put off by the appearance of the outside of the hotel inside it is fantastic. The rooms were well decorated and immaculate. We were going out in the evening but while we were waiting in the bar the restaurant was full and the food looked amazing. We will be staying there agian and this time have an evening meal. Excellent service, staff very friendly and polite.

Hotel55Minutes from Tube Station so very convenient. Stylish Hotel. Only query was that we rang 2 days ahead of our arrival to pre book dinner but were advised we didn't need to. When we arrived at the hotel the dining area was full and we were advsied we should have booked a table !! We had to dine in the bar area which was much more relaxed anyway. Would highly recommend this hotel. Rooms are small but the bed & showers are great. Food is good but expensive.

Lovely contemporary hotelRight from when I checked in the staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and it was really nice to have the personal touch. There was a couple staying the same time as me who didn't know London very well, and one of the guys sat them down in the lounge and went through with them all the places they might like to visit, things to do etc. and really went the extra mile. The room itself was overlooking the garden, and very light, with stylish contemporary decor and lovely Molten Brown toiletries. The rest of the hotel, in the corridors etc, was also very nicely decorated, with artwork on the walls, and the conservatory for breakfast was a great way to start the day. The area it was in wasn't great, but there was a few basic shops and a nice Indian restaurant, and it's right round the corner from North Ealing tube so easy enough to get everywhere else.Would definitely stay again if I needed to be in the area for anything.

A splendid option, close to Underground and reasonably priced. All staff encountered were pleasant and helpful and whilst the room scored highly in terms of accommodation, it was at the front and immediately off the reception area - plenty of noise from fellow guests passing through, late and early and then there was the traffic throughout the night. Provided an alternative room, I will certainly choose to stay again, regularly.

Lovely room and friendly staff - a bit of a treck into central London and the bathroom was tiny - but for the price it was great
