The room was very plush and comfortable. We paid $40 for a city view and could only see the next building over. The hotel is interesting and extravagant. It was located in a very financial district with not a lot of night life, but there were things within walking distance and the hipster area of town was only a short drive away. The room was great and the bed was very comfortable.

Interesting to say the least, the museum extras make it worth the price. We stayed for a weekend getaway and for the two days had plenty to do within walking distance. The hotel restaurant "Proof on Main" was exceptional. We saved about $60 a night with Travel website and got the King bed as requested, very comfortable second only to my annual stay at Westin in Cinncinatti, which has been the best hotel beds ever experienced by me. Parking tip is to park it yourself in garage next door (same location that hotel uses) for 7.00a day but if unattended when leaving (on weekends) the min charge of 3.00 gets you out. My only complaint was noise from below window at night hours from hotel employees gathering out back for a smoke break,rm 231, I suspect internet bookings may get least favorable rooms. Room was well appointed with large screen lcd tv. Service was excellent, I had a remote control problem and it was replaced within 5 minutes of call. The spa/workout area in bsmnt was secure and included sauna and steam room with private shower. Being a contemporary museum don't forget to check out the bathrooms in bsmnt and first flr.Within walking dist is at least 4 other museums, actors theater, jazz club, and 4 fine eateries. Enjoy. GaryD

We had been in the hotel on a prior occasion eating at their wonderful restaurant, Proof and took time to explore some of the museum. It's not your grandmother's art, but it is fun, provocative and engaging. The room was large with high ceilings, great furnishings and a flat screen plasma with more channels than you should ever need. Service was very nice and everyone was extremely helpful, even the electrician who came after my wife blew the fuses while ironing. Only a slight glitch. Downtown Louisville is a great place to walk around and enjoy the various museums and shops. We enjoyed the stay and felt like we definitely got a great value. Not the place for kids, but otherwise, fantastic.

What a beautiful space! Artwork may be too much for younger kids, so keeping this more an adult getaway or older teens is the way to go. We went up to do the arts trolley hop, this hotel is smack dab where you want to be, close to the trolley stop, the artwork is incredible, the room was spacious, clean, and the bed slept great! The huge TV was nice. Even though we didn't have a view of the city, the inner courtyard space is well appointed & neat to look at especially at night. Every aspect is considered here. Staff welcoming, warm & accommodating. The valet parking staff is above & beyond the call of duty! Stay here, you'll love it! And go down to Proof On Main for a nice little night cap.

A modern alternative to the stuffy. It features contemporary art, interesting architecture, luxurious bedding, and excellent service.
