First class accommodation, perfectly placed and good value for moneyMyself and 2 friends stayed in a 2 bedroomed apartment for 3 nights at the end of July 2009 for a 30th birthday weekend break. All three of us were very impressed with the perfect location of 196 Bishopsgate, Liverpool St Station is literally just over the road, and it is surrounded by friendly pubs (White Hart for excellent pies!), fast food and convenience stores for everything you need on your doorstep.Check-in was prompt and hassle-free, the Reception staff were very helpful, professional and even arranged for our apartment to be decorated with a 30th balloon, banners, cake and wine etc to make the birthday weekend even more special. The apartment itself was great, perfectly sized, fresh, clean and modern with all the appliances you need for self catering. The bedrooms were comfortable, bright and airy - we all slept well!Only two slight niggles to mention, we ran out of loo roll on the final night and had to resort to the tissues from the lounge - we didn't actually call Reception to see if we could get another roll sent up though so maybe that could have been avoided! Also, the kitchen utensils were not very good quality...a non-stick frying pan to me is essential but what we had was a sub-standard 'stick' frying pan! On the whole we were very impressed, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definately be booking in again!

Excellent location directly opposite Liverpool Train Station (and Underground) and 10 min walk to Thames and Tower bridge (Petticoat Lane is behind Hotel about 5 minutes away). Beautifully appointed apartments with all the facilities of a 5 star hotel. Quiet location ideal as a base for a long stay in London.

very easy to find located close to tube , spotless clean secure and quiet , only problem we had was towels not changed but as soon as we phoned reception fresh towels delivered

The room had everything the business traveler could need and the apartment was very, very spacious. The only issue was a security warning from the Internet browser that the hotel was using. Otherwise the room was spotless and the staff very accomodating.

Good value, clean & friendly - unusual in the CityI found the room at short notice for a great rate, about half full tariff. The receptionist was very friendly, helpful and told me everything I needed to know during my stay quickly and politely. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. Night staff were friendly and chatty too.It's the first time I have stayed there and will definitely stay there again. A refreshing, well priced, clean and perfectly placed apartment. If you like your privacy and don't rely on room service, this is the place for you.

No record of my booking when I arrived, (Laterooms or 196 Bishopgates fault?), but fortunately they had one 2-bed room left, so were happy to upgrade me and honour the price (Â£98 for a sunday evening). Rooms were large & clean, but were bland and lacked the warmth & character of similar serviced accommodation in EC1. No welcome pack or wine glasses, small TV (for room & standard of accom) and a very high & awkward to use sink in the bathroom means that I won't be rushing back. Good restaurant options nearby are limited. Would recommend only with caveats.

Great night for a memorable birthday!Had a great night in the room.... myself and my partner loved the bed and bathroom! Went out for a meal and was so nice to come back to somewhere clean and warm!

Great location, poor sleepGreat location to Liverpool St station on the central line. Apartment was ok, fairly clean but felt tired and 'done on the cheap'. Batteries in the remote were dead. Bedroom and bathroom 'compact' but clean and functional. Only views were of another building 4 meters away. The main problem was the sound insulation. At 5am, if not before, I started to hear people rearranging chairs on a wooden floor, like they were organising a wedding event. Following that people were walking around, could hear water from the bath and shower, yes it was that clear.

What a treat!This place is a set of managed apartments just over the road from Liverpool Street Station. Good standard of decor and lots of space in the apartment we had. Was nice if you are looking to do something a little different to the standard hotels in London. Supermarket really close for supplies if you need anything.

No problems with noise in the room as our room was on the 3rd floor and faced out the back of the building.Small hunt for extra pillows but they were found hidden in the wardrobe.

Very comfortable, large apartment. Did not use the cooking facilities, but they looked fine. Good sized comfortable bed. I had asked for a room at the back and it was very quiet. Staff friendly and helpful. Niggles - tiny bathroom. Storage heaters were pumping out a lot of heat when I arrived and I had to turn on aircon to get the temperature down. No decent reading light (but there hardly ever is). Brilliant value for money at laterooms rate. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends for either business or leisure trips.

Stayed here for 4 nights last week. On route to the room the halls were a bit grubby, although maybe that is OK for the hall, as the room was fantastic! Never as good as the pictures on the site, of course. I booked an executive studio and the room was great standard. The sofa/bed was as is seen in the Apartment 3 picture, The kitchen was clean and had all the applances I needed, oven, microwave, fridge, (even ice cubes in the freezer). The cleaner was excellent, every day she emptied my dishwasher for me, made the bed, opened all the blinds (which I could not reach to open being 5'2\" ) The location is on a VERY busy main road right opposite Liverpool Street Station.... but the room I had was away from the noise so peaceful and quiet. (110, if you need to request!) No views to speak of, except for the next door office block. Also had a DVD, TV, and radio alarm clock. The room was also smoking, which you either Love or Hate! I was happy with it. :) Would stay again if I could afford the rate, thankfully I was lucky staying in the first week of January it was a bit cheaper. Finally, tried to renegotiate to stay again at end of Jan, They wouldn't do the same rate when I asked at reception... only problem is the rate they offered was more than if I booked on Late Rooms anyway!! All in all a good experience, and would stay again.

Pleasant well set up apartment. Very convenient for the City. We were upgraded so excellent value for money. We would stay there again.
