2. Who is eligible to become an affiliate of HotelsCombined?

   Anyone who owns or runs a website is welcome to join our Hotel Affiliate Program. We recommend that the website includes travel related content, but this is not a requirement.

   Note - it is still possible to join the Affiliate Program even if you don’t have a website, but to get the most value from it, we recommend that you register a domain before you can actively market our program.

3. How much does it cost to join the Affiliate Program?

   The HotelsCombined Affiliate Program is FREE. There is no application or set-up fee and no ongoing costs. As soon as you register online, you get instant access to our affiliate partner portal, no need to wait for approval.

4. How does the Affiliate Program work?

   Affiliates are paid to attract visitors who are interested in booking hotel rooms, so the quality of the traffic you send is important.

   Multiple implementation options are available to help maximise your earning potential. The main ones are Text Links, Deep Links, Banners and Search Boxes. These are further enhanced by Private Branding (white-labelling), Data Feeds and a comprehensive Web Services API (on request).

5. How does the commission structure work?

   Affiliates earn commission on a “per-lead” basis. A Lead is generated when a visitor clicks through to the website of one of our compared hotel booking suppliers. One of the important factors which determine how much you get paid per lead is the rate at which your leads become bookings.

6. How much can I earn?

   Most affiliates earn between USD $0.50 and $2.00 per lead. The exact value of each lead depends on the ability of your users to generate revenue for our suppliers. So the higher the quality of your visitors, the more you earn per lead.

   Each visitor can generate multiple leads from a single visit. Visitors are also tracked for up to 365 days, so affiliates can continue earning commissions from repeat visits.

7. How are my links tracked?

   All Affiliate Links contain your unique Affiliate ID. When a visitor clicks on an Affiliate Link, the Affiliate ID gets stored in a tracking cookie on their browser. This cookie lasts up to 365 days (1 year). So, when your visitor generates a Lead, we use the Affiliate ID in the tracking cookie to determine that this lead came from your Affiliate Link and your account is credited with commission for that Lead.

8. How do I get paid?

   At the start of every month, your commission balance for the previous month is confirmed; payment is processed at the end of that month. Example – commission earned in July is confirmed on August 1 and paid at the end of August.
   
   Please note - a minimum amount of commission (threshold) must be reached before a payment can be processed. Minimum thresholds apply for each payment type ($500 for bank wire; $100 for PayPal), and any unpaid balance rolls over into the following month. All payments are made in US Dollars (USD)

9. I have more than one website, do I need to open another Affiliate account?

   No, each affiliate account can accommodate an unlimited number of websites. You can track the performance of each site separately, using tracking tools available in the affiliate portal.

10. Can I link to other travel sites if I join the HotelsCombined Affiliate Program?

    The HotelsCombined Affiliate Program places no restrictions on an Affiliate's other associations. We actually encourage joining other travel affiliate programs for related travel products, such as flights and car hire. Affiliates are also free to partner with other hotel providers, but we believe this will only serve to prove that our hotel database is the biggest, and our commission system is the best.

11. What reporting is available?

    All Affiliates have access to the Performance Report and the Payment Report in their affiliate portal. The Performance Report provides information about visitors, leads and commission earned. The Payment Report provides details of all payments made to the affiliate. There is also additional reporting available on request.
